More than a cookbook
I never heard of Ayurveda before I purchased this book. This book does a great job introducing the concept with holistic healing. Ayurveda medicine is about total balance in all aspects of life. Without it, you essentially feel crummy.This books does a great job of introducing this way of life. The recipes inside are easy, quick, and are supposed to help you gain control and balance over your life and healthy. They’re not bad either. Food, after all, will either harm you or help you.This is more than just a cookbook and definitely worth your time.This product was provided to me in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion.

Interesting topic but intricate recipes
Before reading this book, I had never heard of Ayurveda, but it did a great job at explaining the Ayurveda lifestyle. Ayurveda is a traditional medicinal practice centered on a 5,000-year-old Hindu based system which is designed to nourish your body, mind, and spirit in a gentle, easy way that works no matter how busy your life is. The Ayurveda practice is founded on three doshas, pitta, vata, and kapha and this book will help you easily determine your dosha to help you spot an imbalance and know what to do to put your three doshas back in harmony and essentially restoring balance through foods. I found that a lot of the recipes in this book were rather intricate, requiring some ingredients I've never even heard of, ingredients you'd more than likely only find at specialty stores because they're probably not readily available at your local grocery store. However, the Ayurveda system definitely seems interesting and this book is a great reference.*Disclosure: I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

Awesome explanation of ayurveda and recipes!
I did not know anything about Ayurveda before reading this book, but wanted to try and maintain a healthier lifestyle. This book is a great guide for starting out with this practice. Ayurveda helps to balance you out spiritually as well as physically. I have felt so much better since following some of the suggestions and recipes in the book. You will gain a very clear understanding of this ancient practice by reading the book as well as have access to recipes to follow. The recipes in the book are delicious and don’t take hours to make. Give this book a read, you won’t be disappointed!

Nourish your body and mind through food
Before reading this cookbook, I had no clue what Ayurveda was but I understand it a little more with the explanations within this cookbook. I felt like it was a self-help book wrapped into a cookbook which is a bit unusual. The cookbook has you take a quiz to find out your Dosha (one of three energies/traits) and from there the cookbook helps you identify what foods, activities and lifestyle factors best suit your Dosha and what ones can work against you. Helpful & Delicious!
I will be honest i had absolutely no idea what Ayurveda was but after this book i sure do and it was something i definitely needed to learn and incorporate in my life. I found that it helps you incorporate foods into your diet for the maximum benefit to your mind and body. I knew that eating better helps your overall health but i did not know the tremendous help it could have on your spiritual well being.

A different kind of cookbook.
This cookbook is interesting because it combines ancient medicine and looks at a holistic approach vto modern life. It determines and explains thoroughly different body types, and the foods you should be eating in the cookbook.All the recipes within the book are completed in thirty minutes or less.There are vegan and vegetarian dishes as well.A lot of different types of spices, vegetables and fruits are utilized in the recipes which are an added plus.Everything from beverages to desserts.

Nice informative read.
Does the title confuse you? It did me, but this was completely described in great detail in the beginning. The tell you the history behind it and why it is beneficials to a variety of people. There is a quiz that helps you determine your DOSHA. Once you complete it there is a section that explains to you what that dosha means, how to exercise, activities that support your dosha needs and foods that are best for your dosha. Im a KAPHA apparently. I liked reading the beginning to find out more about this lifestyle. I do not think it is for me though. I read through nearly every recipe and I do not think there was one I was willing to try. If you know about this 'diet" lifestyle then I am sure this will be a great cookbook for you. Im not looking for a "diet" lifestyle as I am VERY picky with what I eat.

I'm absolutely in love with this book
I'm absolutely in love with this book. It's more than a cookbook. It gives you tips for staying healthy also. It's amazing how many tips you will find in this book. The recipes are wonderful. I haven't tried any yet but I guarantee I will be making just about everything I seen in here. It gives you recipes that best suit you. If you haven't read it yet, I highly suggest you do.

Very simple and tailored recipes
-Very simple recipes-includes a questionnaire about your mind body type- recipes are tailored for your type with recommendations of how another body type can adapt the recipe (my partner is a different Dosha than me and we have to cook one meal that can be adapted to both)
