Great laptop!
I had a 2015 edition of this device, an HP Envy i7, 16/512 GB, UDH touchscreen, and enjoyed using it so much that I ordered the 2020 edition. The new laptop lived up to my expectations. All the same pluses, beautiful video display, great Bang and Olufsen audio and remarkable speed. I liked the older keyboard a little better. The backlight works better with the black keys rather than the silver ones. The older device was a "convertible" so that the hinges of the lid would allow the keyboard to lie flat against a desk when open rather that the lid slightly lifting the back of the device off the desk in the 2020 edition. Minor issues....a great laptop. As an aside, I discovered that HP had started the warranty period when it was shipped to the vendor, not when I purchased the laptop. Kudos to Amazon Customer Service and Amazing Warehouse, the vendor and HP for assistance in quickly correcting this issue.

light weight power machine!
So far this has lived up to it's potential. It is surprisingly fast smooth and sexy looking. The keyboard is amazing. Sound is awesome. during the windows updates the laptop got a bit warm but after enabling power save and regular use it is cool all the time. I did my research and this one appeared to be a good choice. It definitely has been thus far. There is so much good to say about it. This easily beats a Mac Book Air in performance in my opinion.

Sleek design...
This is a good computer with good hd picture but I really don't appreciate how HP inserts itself when you log on to the internet. Even after you're on a web page, if you step away then have to re-enter your password, the microsoft/HP info and sales pitch pops up instead so you have to constantly close their page. This is really annoying...I never had any such issues with my chromebook or google.. it's such an intrusion that this is the last HP I will ever buy..

Great High Powered Lightweight Laptop
I think this laptop is great for what I do. Under 3 lbs and the lastest and greatest. I don't like the McAfee AntiVirus that It comes with but thats ok.

7 months after purchase - major problems
Update: After spending 2 hours on the phone with tech support yesterday, I ws been told that Windows10 is corrupted. They tell me this is a "software" probelem and not covered by the warranty. The manwho was helping me gave me some things to try that didn't work. So I'm on hold again with tech support. It's been 52 minutes now. I think they deliberately try to convince customers not to call by leaving them on hold for extended periods. I won't buy another hp. Terrible customer service and based on my last 2 laptops - a questionable product.I bought this laptop in November of 2020 - 7 months ago. Lately it's been dropping my internetconnection which I would attribute to my internet provider, except that it didn't impact my work laptop or my smart tv. Then two days ago I tried to copy excel files to my external hard drive. I got an errormessage (blue screen) then it automatically rebooted. I tried again with two different flash drives. Same thing happened. I went into some of my Excel and Word files today and a lot of the data in my Excel filesis gone. I bought this computer after a catastrophic failure of my last HP computer when I lost all my files. This time I bought the external hard drive and multiple flashdrives so that I could update my data and never have that experience again. I've lost a lot of data this time, but thankfully not everything. For context - I am the only one who uses this computer. I have never dropped it, spilt anything on it, or harmed it in any way. I have no idea what caused this or what it will cost me to repair it. I thought this computer would be great. I'm very disappointed.Last update 10/31 - As of tomorrow, I've had this laptop one year. It has been shipped back to HP twiceand still isn't working 100%. It has begun to drop connection to my wifi (even though they replaced the card last time). I've never had what I believe to be a lemon before. But I've had nothing but trouble with this laptop and now the warranty has run. I constantly back up everything to an external drive because I totally expect any minute it will just die. What a piece of junk.

Very long turn around on servicing a computer under the manufacture's warranty
I purchased the hp ENVY PC in September 2020. By late December the screen randomly started flickering and going black, with two or three white horizontal lines. When I called customer support they spent about 2 to 3 hours having me reinstall the OS and BIOS .The next time turned on the computer the same screen issue occurred. I was sent a box to pack up the computer for repair. I was told it would be repaired and returned in 4 working days. I then received a text saying it would be not 4 days but more like 3 weeks. Recently I received a text saying the part has to be reordered and it will now take 2 months to repair. I called customer support, waited 30 mins to be connected. The person who answered asked me to wait while they checked the status and the call was then disconnected. A few days later I received another text reconfirmed the 2 month lead time on the part. This is way to long to expect a customer who's computer was not yet 4 months old to wait. A lead time of 2 months for a part seems like very poor service to me for a computer under warranty.Update, the product was finally returned to on February 3 rd meaning the service turn around was just over a month. Verses the two months previously quoted to me and stated in this review.
