Q: What’s the waist size for a medium

The sizing isn't exact but 32-34 - it can probably stretch out to a 36-38 actually.

Q: I wear 34w-32l jeans, should I go for a medium or large?

I wear 38x32 (or sometimes 36x32) and I bought XL. They are a little baggy but I think L would be too small for me. I’d say a M would work for you.

Q: Will they show sweat stains?

They shouldn't, they are pretty thick with absorbent fleece inside. I have not experienced a problem. Excessive sweating may be a different story. It's not like a regular sweatshirt where sweat comes through making it look wet. I hope this helps.
