Like other reviewers, I like Union coffee, but when bought through Amazon, the beans are several months past the roasting date. They are cheaper here, but not as good as shop-bought or direct from the roaster, where you get them a few weeks after roasting, which improves the flavour.

Such a rich flavour, I'm totally hooked.

The beans were roasted in July or August and I bought them in December. If you have no taste for coffee you may not be disappointed, however I cannot say I was happy myself.

As others have written, roast date is miles off. 5 months in my case, and consistently so. I normally buy from Sainsburys so i can check the date but couldn't in a few cases and resorted to Amazon, but they clearly only stock old beans.Still, the coffee is OK in spite of that. Fresh is better, but old is better than nothing (or instant).

While cheaper than buying from Union these beans arrive months and months after roasting date. Union generally recommend consuming within weeks of roasting so not sure why you’d buy these old beans. So easy to get right!

Had a great coffee at a London cafe and found that they used Union beans. I think it must be one of the other blends as this was surprisingly mediocre. Not bad coffee but not worth the price.
