TayMac DOC320Z Deck/Floor Cover, 1-Gang, Bronze

This product works great as a receptacle cover the decking floor eliminating extension cords cluttering your deck. I installed two of these diagonally across the deck from each other. They are extremely low profile and non-intrusive. It's important to know this is only a cover and does not include the receptacle or the single gang plastic box the receptacle is mounted in. The instructions are very good and the template provided for cutting the hole in the deck is accurate. Recommend watching the video on the company website.

Solid quality, good install directions. Great addition to my deck refurbishment project. Now I have somewhere to plug in my laptop.

Best option I could find to mount a receptacle horizontally on a deck surface. Worked out very well.

As a Master Electrician i have installed several of these in customers decks. I like the finished look, the flush cover, and durability. Use UF wire rated for ground contact and source your power from a GFCI breaker or receptacle. Keeping the lid closed will keep it dry and keep debris out. After 10 years still works great. P

We installed 4 of these on our screened-in porch. I like that the design allows for you to close the lid and keep water away from electrical cords outside by snaking the cord out through a sealed channel; however, it it not good for devices with larger charging plugs, such as my MacBook charger, Echo dot, and other chargers with larger plugs. Some may fit but block use of the second outlet (that can be an issue anywhere) and others fit but you cannot then close the top. We can use an extension cord or strip surge, but that is less than ideal looking and for the strip surge it kind of defeats the purpose of protecting the electrical from water! Good overall, but we didn't think of the this issue in advance. Other outdoor outlets we looked at may have the same issue since they have a cover and you probably will not be able to close it with some of these larger plugs.

You need to purchase the underneath electric box & outlet separately. Works great. Installs easy. Looks good. The template doesn’t give much clearance, so hug the line when cutting

I purchased this recessed outlet box to move an outlet receptacle from under the deck to top for convenience. This was a super easy install. Kit comes with template for cut-out and easy to install instructions. Plus this one is half the price to what is available at my local Lowe’s Home Improvement and better quality.

This is a nice and functional outlet box and looked great when installed. However, the color drastically changed over a short time. Originally the color matched my deck nicely (see picture of the inside of the box). After only year and 3 months of exposure to the sun, the outside has faded and turned sort of a tan color that sticks out like a sore thumb. The sun exposure has been minimal as we are located in the Pacific North West. I do like the mechanical and electrical design but the plastic pigment does not appear to be UV stable.

The color blended into the deck nicely, used USB/plug to put charging ports around the deck with a GFI at the start. To update for modern use. Plus having a clean look.
