Poached eggs and omelets, too!
This replaces an older device by a different manufacturer. High quality plastic is nonstick and easy to use. What surprises me is the omelette function. With a little experimentation I came up with a beautiful, fluffy omelette.

Easiest way to haard boil eggs
This is a great little kitchen appliance. Eggs hard boil quickly and to the correct degree. Super easy to use, just plug it in, add water with the included measuring cup, put the eggs in, and in a few minutes youo have as many as 7 perfectly hard boiled eggs. We love it.

Egg Cookers work, great! This model has a loud alarm, instead of auto shut-off.
We thought an egg-cooker was a silly concept, why would you need to spend money on a separate appliance, when all you have to do is boil water. We were WRONG. An egg-cooker, which STEAMS the eggs, produces eggs that always peel easily, you'll never have shell stuck on so you'll never have to throw away an egg with parts of the shell stuck to it. You also don't have to worry about forgetting the boiling pot of water boiling out. The reason This only get four star is that it doesn't get five stars is the lack of automatic shut-off. This produces a loud annoying alarm telling you it's done. If you're anywhere nearby, you'll hear it. Still, if you can find a brand you can trust with auto shut-off, buy that one.

Easy to use and cooks eggs perfectly
This electric egg cooker is very easy to use and works perfectly. It cooks the eggs evenly and exactly how I like them every time. It saves time and makes breakfast much easier. The size is convenient, it’s simple to clean, and the results are consistent. Great quality for the price. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

GREAT Buy!
LOVE this thing! There's no more pan to clean after boiling eggs! Just a quick wipe of the bottom of the unit after it's cooled down, & you can put it away. It boils up to 7 eggs at a time in about 8 or 9 minutes. Shells don't crack open, and it's a breeze!

Fine for the money, but no auto-shutoff
I paid $13 for this and for that price, what it does is fine. I usually do eggs in my instant pot and this is a lot less hassle as far as storage. But there are some caveats: There is no timer. The way it works is that it runs until it runs out of water. If you want soft eggs, you put a little water. If you want harder eggs, you put more water. When it runs out water, it beeps, but it does NOT shut itself off. I think this is probably a safety issue and it should beep AND power down when it runs out of water. It's fine for me because I run it while I'm washing dishes or whatever and don't leave it unattended. But it might not be so great for people who will forget about it running. It only beeps ONCE and it is not a loud beep at all. It comes with a little plastic cup to measure the water. My plastic cup (April 2024) did NOT have a pin at the bottom to prick the eggs. I don't care about that but you might. The plastic measuring cup has lines up the side to tell you how much water you need for each type of egg. I am positive the letters on this cup will wear off entirely in a year and then I won't know how much water to add anymore. It would be better if this machine came with a list that told you how much water you need for each kind of egg. Better still would be setting it up so it held a bit more water than you need and a timer with a setting for each kind of egg. But it's a simple machine for a simple job, and I didn't pay a lot of money for it. I mostly use mine to do poached eggs for on toast and it's super easy for that. I spray it with cooking spray first and they pop right out. I've also done hard boiled ones in it and they came out fine and were easy to shell.

"I'm giving this only one star because the egg cooker is not usable in the UK without a transformer converter plug. It runs on 110V with a 2-pin US plug, which wasn’t made clear when I purchased it. I attempted to return it, but the return label is for the United States, making the postage nearly as expensive as the cooker itself. Since a transformer plug costs almost as much as a new egg cooker, I decided to cut my losses and buy a different one instead."

Sencillo de usar . Pero no Tiene como que un apagado automático . Hay que estar pendiente del pitido para desconectarlo . Sin embargo, es muy audible , y si deja los huevos perfectamente cocidos.

I bought this on a whim because it was cheap and I wanted something that could cook boiled eggs without waiting for the water to boil (traditional stove top way). At this price I wasn't expecting much but I've used Hamilton Beach products before and liked all of them. First of all, it's small. I mean really small and that's a plus because it takes so little space in the kitchen. It looks kind of cool as well (modern if you will). I've only had it for 2 days and I have not tried the poacher but it cooked hard boiled eggs to perfection. I filled the plastic goblet to the #4 level of water for 3 hard boiled eggs and they turned out perfect the first time. Time for cooking 3 eggs was exactly 12 minutes from plugging the unit on until the audible alarm sounded indicating that the cooking was done (it's not really an alarm but more like a small bell sound and it should be louder IMHO). On the stove top, I would have to wait at least 8-9 minutes just for the water to boil and another 10 minutes for the eggs to cook so I figure this little gadget is a good time saver. It's super easy to clean as well. The instructions are clear. On the bottom of the water goblet, there is a plastic cap that can be removed revealing a steel pin. There is absolutely no mention of this or its purpose in the instructions in English or French. One small observation about the unit : It mentions in the instructions to plug it in and then switch it on and off after use. On mine the switch seems to do nothing. If I plug it in, the red light automatically lights up and the unit starts. When the bell rings, the light stays on even if I push the switch to turn the power off. I simply unplug it when the bell rings to indicate that there is no water left in the tray. Is the switch faulty ? I don't know. It works as is and I'm not even sure why a switch is needed.

This egg cooker works well. I followed the instructions for boiled eggs, and the eggs came out perfect. It took about 16 minutes to cook them, then cooling in cool water for about 10 minutes. The beeping sound when they are finished is loud enough but it is short in duration. I had used a pot boiling method for years, but this cooker works way better. The eggs are very easy to peel (I store them in the fridge in-shell and peel them once I am ready to eat), they have a nice texture, and taste better than the pot boiling method for some reason. Highly recommended product.
