What is it? Food, gravy, or what?

It's a little bit thinner than a gravy. I started using it back in 2019 when my 18 year old cat was in the last stages of kidney failure. It seemed to have been very beneficial during her last year, I wish Id had this sooner. As I did more research, I saw that most cats that end up in kidney failure because, throughout their entire lives, they aren't getting enough hydration; no matter how much water they drink. My two current cats (8 yrs and 1 yr) get a ¼ cup dry with either a small can of wet food or a hydration pouch everyday (the dry food usually lasts them all day)...they absolutely LOVE the hydration supplement. My older cat has always had dry skin issues, even with fish oil additives. Her coat has improved dramatically and shes even on her way to being a healthy weight (she was a bit chunky)! They both impress their vets every visit. Definitely worth trying!

Does the packet require refrigeration if not used in one meal?

I always refrigerate any opened moist cat food.
