CPT-160 Metal Classic 2-Slice Toaster, Brushed Stainless

My trusty toaster of many years finally died. Over the course of the past six months, I tried to replace it with another toaster and two toaster ovens, none of which was able to produce a decent piece of toast. Fortunately, upon doing more research, I happened upon this Cuisinart toaster. I simply love it. It's easy to use, with all functions easily visible on the front of the toaster. The pull-out crumb tray is easy to access. The cord is long enough such that if one uses the toaster under upper kitchen cabinets, it can be temporarily pulled forward. What I liked as much as the toaster itself was the accompanying instruction booklet, which was very explicit and well-written. When following the suggestions for the temperature and timing of the item to be toasted, depending on the type of bread, whether it's frozen, etc., this toaster produces a perfectly toasted item each time. In addition to all of this, the toaster is attractive enough to leave on the countertop in plain sight. I am extremely happy with my new toaster!

Good toaster. My previous Cuisinart toaster had a light so I could tell it was on. This one does not have any light. It sees to toast stronger than the previous one so I have to be careful no to burn. Love being able to lift the lever up to remove the bread.

While the item looks very nice and does at times work (though poorly), it does not work well at all. 1) The lever, which pulls the little bread holders down AND IS THE POINT OF ELECTRICAL CURRENT CONTACT, does not lock into place very often. I have to keep pushing down the lever until it finally locks into place - then WATCH for whether proper contact has been made to turn on the heating elements. No contact = no current to the element = more screwing around to get it to work. 2) I like dark toast. At the highest setting, I get only a very light warming of the bread - sometimes some actual toasting of an edge which sits particularly close to the heating elements. A toaster is just one of those things that should simply work. Push down the lever, your bread is toasted, it pops back up. Simple. This item FAILS in its one, single, simplistic job. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAPLY, POORLY MADE JUNK!! Cuisinart just destroyed my faith in their brand name. I will never buy anything from them again. I don't give a hang about bells and whistles on a toaster - I just want the blasted thing to work!! This does not. This was not cheap, either!! I shelled out the bucks expecting a reasonable quality item. WOW - what a sucker I am. I'd rather go back to "toasting" my bread in my iron skillet - shows you just how far the US Dollar has fallen in value.

New one replace old one. Same everything but new toaster is not the same quality. Flimsy construction.

I will describe the functions of the beautiful toaster: • The Bagel function heats only the top half of the bagel so that it is crispy on top and soft on the bottom. • Toast: for regular and toasted bread • Defrost: first defrost and then toast frozen bread • Reheat: allows you to reheat toasted bread without browning or burning it • Cancel: stops all toasting operations The shade control setting offers toasting options, allowing us to toast our slices of bread as we like; we use it on the 3-4 medium toast setting. The first thing we did before using it was blowtorching it with an air gun to remove dust. I put it in toast mode but without bread to burn, dust, or any other material, and if it smelled something like it was a new product, after a few minutes and when the new smell disappeared, we put the first slices of bread, in the 1-2 setting the toast was light brown I changed the setting to 3-4. The result was perfect; I like a medium brown tone, and the toasted bread was delicious. In summary, the Cuisinart CPT-160 Metal Classic 2-Slice Toaster not only adds a touch of elegance to our kitchen but also offers a user-friendly experience. Its shiny stainless steel color sparkles and its shade control setting allows us to toast our slices of bread just the way we like. The bread was delicious with a perfect medium toast, and the toaster arrived in our kitchen ready to toast many slices of bread for a long time. Based on my pleasant experience, I highly recommend it. Grill consistently and very quickly even frozen bread. Very satisfied. Should have taken the 4 slice model. Very stylish and good lookin

Me gustó mucho el modelo ese, pero el botón para el nivel de tostado del pan se mueve muy fácilmente y de repente me sale el pan negro porque se movió el botón.

The Cuisinart CPT-160 is a good toaster, well made and I appreciate the control buttons. The only thing that I disliked is that I couldn’t register the toaster online for the guarantee because I live in Canada and they wanted a zip code and a State.
