Fixed intermittent stalling on 3.0 Mercruiser
1996 Mercruiser 3.0 would start with some effort, run, and then die 10-30 minutes later. Once it was dead, it was impossible to restart until hours later. After replacing this part, it starts more easily and no longer dies. It only takes 5 minutes to replace!

1999 mercruiser 3.0 didn’t had spark coming out of the ignition cap/rotor, my instinct told me the module inside was bad even know it did have 12v with the key switch in the on position, installed this one and bingo, spark was back. Bought it in February 2022, and is only March 2022 but thus far so good.

Doesn't work the way it should.
I'm sure many boater will relate with this. Factory replacement parts cost the most! We all want to gets things running at the cheapest cost, especially now a days. So again I went with a generic part and you only get one guess as to what happened lol. My first test ride lasted four minutes, back to the drawing board. Little did I know that any auto parts store carries this exact replacement part from GM for under 25.00 including tax. If you're repairing a Merc Cruiser save your money and get your parts from Quicksilver, Seira, or mercury factory parts. Other than the ones I mentioned above all the other electrical parts on this site are junk and not dependable!!

Caused engine to backfire! Don't buy@
Causes 3.0 litre engine to backfire upon acceleration! Re-installed old module. Junk!

Cannot not set base timing
When in base timing mode there is a no start condition for a mercruiser 3.0. Will return. Item also looked used when received. Replaced with a Napa one and worked flawlessly.
