My invalid wife's caregiver is from Venezuela, and she introduced my wife and myself to the pleasure of eating arepas... it's a bit like an English muffin, but made from a special pre-cooked white corn meal flour, grilled on a griddle, and cut open and typically stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese. The caregiver makes these every Tuesday for us, and it's a great treat.Of course, it helps to have the right flour... in fact, it's essential, and P.A.N. is what is needed. It's not easy to find in local supermarkets unless they cater to a significant Latin population... but it's very easy, and quite inexpensive, to order it from Amazon. I usually order 3 or 4 bags at a time, and fortunately, if I run out, it's often a next day delivery.

We wanted to make cheese arepas for dinner and we decided to buy this arepa flour which is the traditional arepa flour we all Latinamericans know, and it never disappoints!! Our arepas came out fluffy and perfect. The package came quickly but unfortunately it looked like it had cracked open on the way to me. I don’t think there was bad intention, just maybe the bag bumped with other products inside the box and it broke. It worked perfect non the less. I give it a 4 star just because of the condition in which it arrived at my house. This was super affordable and with just one bag you can make lots of arepas. It’s easy to work with your hands. Just add water or milk. They taste absolutely delicious! They actually taste like home… Love!
