Deluxe Chrome Steel Metal Business Card Holder in Silver Finish

i bought this over a year ago to hold credit cards, and i seriously abuse it. on any normal day it maybe has 5 cards and a folded-up 20, but every now and then i jam smaller bills or gift cards in it too until it's almost bursting at the seams.no surprise, about half a year in the hinge gave out...and i was pretty sad about it, especially because the appearance of the product was still like new despite being repeatedly dropped, thrown, sat on, etc! (no dents, minimal scratches, not warped, still very shiny)a friend devised a makeshift solution on the spot, and it's worked like new since so i thought i'd share. the hinge is held in place with these tiny little straight pins. one of the pins gave out, which is what caused my hinge to break. THE FIX!! the pinhole (pin sleeve? idk) is the perfect diameter to fit a standard paper clip. if you straighten out a paper clip and then poke it in through the pinholes, then fold one or two ends back into the case (so it isn't exposed), the hinge works like new again- and is probably much sturdier than it was with those weak little pins.overall, 5 stars for the appearance, 1 star for the hinge construction- but i found a way to work around it and i still love this product, so i hope this helps :)

Let me begin by saying to those who are wondering if they should spend $13.50 on this card-holder, "YES YOU SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY BUY THIS!"It is made from chrome plated steel so you don't have to worry about the card-holder being dinged-up or warped unlike the cheaper ones you may find elsewhere.The construction is very sturdy and it is also quite slim so it won't cause any ridiculous bulges in your pockets. The design mimics the old school classy cigarette holders people used in the past.Depending on how thick your business cards are, you should be able to hold more than 10 cards. My business cards are thick so it holds about 14 for me; on that note, I doubt that the usual businessman will hand out more than five to seven business cards in a day. So don't worry about it having hold 20 or more cards.Pro(s):- Chromed Steel thus strong (minimal flexing/warping in front/side pockets, not recommended to place in rear/back pockets)- Slim, sleek- It's inexpensive, not cheap- Not too flashy, but still very attractive (well polished inside and out); also, this card-holder is unisex so ignore the comments stating that it's only for women- Smooth finish, no noticeable sharp edges, well machinedCon(s):- A bit pricey, BUT honestly this case's life can definitely outlast any of the cheaper cases sold so you won't have to replace this case unless you lose itMy Recommendation(s)/Suggestion(s):- Although this card holder is strong, I don't recommend anyone putting it in your rear pockets simply because sitting on it MAY possibly warp the metal- This card-holder may also be used for credit/debit cards, gift cards, etc., but I don't recommend it- I also don't recommend stomping on it or running it over with a car :POverall, I am impressed; because I bought this, I really don't need to look elsewhere for another card-holder.***UPDATE 9/11/11***I'm actually still using this chrome business card holder! It hasn't deformed since the first day I've been using it and I've already handed out over hundreds of business cards. I am very impressed. Deluxe? No. Very cheap price for a business card holder, and very low quality. I'd expect to find this in a Big Lots or Wal-Mart for $5. The hinges are uneven, the case is warped and doesn't close together properly. I tried to work with it and adjust the issues, but they're inherent in its design.Not sure why there are so many glowing reviews for this case. In the end, you get what you pay for...and I'd rather spend 5x-20x this price and get something I'm not embarrassed to pull out of my pocket to offer someone a business card.

Well WHAT the heck was I expecting? I mean, it's a FILIGREE freakin business card holder. Sutblety? Maybe...upon first inspection, it has fairly little! They give a pretty deep carve (relief) to that design.I mean it's not gaudy or atrocious, definitely more on the p*mp-style side of town, I dunno...could I recommend this to a guy? Hard to say. Probably NOT. That said, it's rough, tough and thick, yet maintains a nice thin profile.Finally, I got this to save business cards' precious little lives, but at the same time, it DOES hold credit cards and WON'T de-magnetize them...hmm...So I am using it as a card holder as well. Had a Smart Moneyclip (card holder and clip all in one) and liked it, but really hardly ever used the clip...that same company (Storus) makes a card holder like this one that people were complaining about. I kinda tried to rationalize that all these card holders were being reviewed by women, but hey, listen...it's OK. I am cool with it. It's definitely eye-catching and noticeable. If you are meek, weak of security in your masculinity, you might (read: definitely) want to stay away.But I dig it for it's functionality and best-of-class performance, rigidity and sleekness.That said, I have a feeling I will be finding another from the same company of a slightly more conservative design (and I am a fairly freakish guy to begin with) in order that I might be taken more seriously when whipping this thing out! I mean, the shine and sparkle is impressive...but maybe not for me.
