Fast growing
Instructions do say to sow directly into the ground. However these were planted as part of an event to be taken home by individuals. Planted 2 in each pot as they don't anyways take. Out of 60 - 4 didn't take. Can't wait to see them grow

Not the best yield
I purchased and planted these sunflower seeds in spring, as recommended on the packaging. I planted the lot, in full sun, appropriately spaced. There were a large number of seeds in the packet. It’s now the end of August (at the time of writing) and I’ve sadly only had three sunflowers to show for the pack. One is lovely, tall and bloomin’ marvelous (excuse the pun). The others are small (one quite a bit so) but I do believe will flower in the coming weeks.I’m a little disappointed at my yield for the price, but this could be something to do with the weather, or soil quality on my end. Not a total write off, but could be better.

Yeah, they are actually giant.
I mean.. look at the pictures I took, absolutely chonkers sunflowers. Plant indoors in a tiny pot until they sprout (use your house's heat to germinate them or a small desk lamp, keep it moist but not soaking and definitely not dry, don't leave them outside and hope for the best), make sure you protect against slugs and snails once you move outdoors.Plant somewhere that actually has the root space - the bigger the roots are able to grow the bigger the plant will be - if you constrain the plants to small pots, they will never grow more than four times the height of the pot (and will be top-heavy and fall over - personal experience with one that I did tests with)Fertilise with a standard garden nutrient mix (normal growth medium) once every two weeks or so, and if they get too large, make sure to stake them or tie them to something so that they don't break themselves in half in the wind!

Good value for money
This was a science experiment for the kids at school. All the children recieved a seed and were asked to keep it alive at home while I did the experiment at school aswell. Once the weather was idea and was no frost on the ground,I planted the germinated plants into the soil apart from each other. As you can tell they grew amazingly fast and still growing now. Took about 12/13 weeks to get to this point.

Seeds seemed okay to me
Seeds looked okay to me. Of those I did plant (around 5 or 6) I only got one flower. It grew for quite a while before the wind knocked it down and broke it's stem. I tried to patch it together with electrical tape, but it didn't make it. If you're going to give these a go, make sure you give your lovely flower better support than I did! I'd try again with these. It was my own fault the poor flower didn't make it!

Easy to grow if you keep the slugs away
I’ve currently got 9 sunflowers out of about 40 but that’s my fault as either the weather or slugs got to them!!
