Works well, great color, easy to use
Use these to over dye my wool for rug making. Works very well and true to color if using on white. Interesting hues when applying to other colors

Worked wonderfully
Liked because it did just what it was supposed to do. It locked the color in and color didn't bleed on other garments when washed.

Great Purchase
I always use this on newly purchase black clothes before wearing or washing. It REALLY helps keep my black clothing sharp! minimal to no fading. Follow directions on the bottle.

Bought for my husband
My husband re-dyed his jeans, washed them another time and they bled on a few things so we got this but haven't used it yet. I'll review it again when we do use it.

Seems to work.
I used indigo dye to color a pair of tan jeans. The fixative seemed to work as it should.

Fixes color after dyeing.
Works very well….much less color loss after dyeing several linen skirts.

Followed the instructions to the letter and it worked really well! I have a lot of handmade Guatemalan clothing that leaks dye like crazy and I was tired of always hand washing it. Used this dye setter then threw the new green items in the regular wash with a dye catcher sheet. The sheet came out totally white! I'm very pleased.

I LOVE this stuff and wish I'd known about it years ago. We've all been there. We've bought something new and washed it once or twice separately to ensure that it won't stain other laundry and then it just never stops shedding colour! Colour catchers only help so much whilst the vibrant patterns you were drawn to in the first place begin to look drab. It's depressing. This fixes the problem provided that you notice it soon enough. I'm so grateful and will now always keep an emergency bottle in the linen cupboard. Do consult the RIT website for more details than what are on the bottle as they explain very clearly how to deal with delicate fabrics and the pros and cons of the different methods of application. NB the site is in "American," so they a priori assume a top loader washing machine. Front loaders are called HE (high-efficiency) machines. Go forth and buy Indian block prints with confidence!

This is definitely worth using if you’re dying with Rit. It makes a huge difference to the colour intensity and fastness of the dye.
