What size breaker and cable are recommended

For optimum performance I would recommend a 50amp 240VAC/1phz/60hz circuit. I used #6 copper wire I had left over from running 60amp service out to my garage. Might be able to use #8 for 50amp but might depend on length of run. Hope this helps!
