Good enough for a rental
This was a good value item for my apartment. It’s slightly better quality than the parts that came with my Frigidaire (plastic is slightly thicker) but suffers from the same issues like gapping and positioning in the sliding door. The adhesive brush strip is really narrow, I wish it was thicker but it’s fine. The adhesive came off in some parts, but it’s easy enough to tape back on and use pressure from the door to seal the whole thing. Foil tape also did a good enough job at keeping the parts in place. I’ll be taking it off at the end of summer and the price is good, so I would recommend it with those things in mind. I did need to use foam from my existing AC kit to seal the large gapping on the door frame, so keep that in mind. The kit would’ve been better if it included one or the brush strip was wider and the bristles were longer. Overall, I was surprised at the quality, given the price, but this is probably as best as I would expect for this price range. Before this I was using cardboard and duct tape, so this is a major upgrade.

Great adapter for sliding doors!
Works great with my LG portable AC Unit. I needed to fill the gaps between my sliding door with some foam insulation but I expected that would be necessary. I will also wrap the hose with some hose insulation because I can feel the heat radiating from the hose. The sliding panels feel sturdy seem like they will stay firm when extended and I don't expect it to flex or bow but only time will tell. It was easy to install. I just watched the video on Amazon and it took me less than 10 minutes to put it together.

Worked well enough
I am pleased with the outcome. I’ve historically always used this AC unit with a traditional window but my current place has an older build to it — hence the sliding door kit. It was a relatively straight forward set up and watching the video tutorial was helpful. One of the parts didn’t fit (the cap that connects to the hose) but I was able to use my old one and make it work. I would encourage future buyers to double check part sizes to ensure it will work for them.

It’s a GO for us!
This is a life saver for us. Easy to put together! The only issue I wish was if the strip foam was maybe thicker?! Overall, we have had no issues.

These work Perfectly! And I'm Using Both Sizes
I've moved full-time to my mountain cabin, due to the pandemic. For 30 years I never had AC, because I was only here for a week at a time, and I could handle it. But now, I need it! Especially with the heat waves that have been scorching New England. The house retains heat (a winter plus) so at night, even when it cools down outside, the inside temperature is easily 10-degrees hotter, even with all the windows open. No way to use window units here, so I bought two GE portable air conditioners - a big one and a small one. I ordered both sizes of these Portable Air Conditioner Sliding Door Vent Kits, and I could not be happier. The first one - the 5" kit - was my learning curve. Even so, perfect! The second kit - the 5.9" was a breeze, so to speak. They fit my AC hoses, and my sliding glass doors perfectly. I took the advice of the other reviewers here, and used my own weather seal - for me, I chose the FrostKing EPDM D-Profile Self-Stick Weatherseal - 5/16" Wide by 1/4" Thick X 17' long. Two of those packages were just about enough for both kits. For security I cut a 1 X 2" and dropped it in the jamb - perfect. Seriously, these kits work, they look good, they fit tight, and they're easy to install. I love 'em. I do have an improvement planned - because since the vents open out onto my deck, I'm going to put some dryer vent screen over the hose opening - to keep critters out of it. But that's it! So as the temperature and humidity climb today - who cares? Because I'm comfortable as can be. Thank you!

It's ok so far. It can do better.
The circular adapter is not sturdy at all. It can easily pop loose from the panel. So make sure there is nothing near it that can knock it off. The set-up takes less than 30 minutes if you're doing it on your own. The instructions are helpful, but there are a few grammar errors. So, good luck figuring it out.

Review for LG LP1022FVSM
Hi! If you just purchased the LG LP1022FVSM like I did (so far really happy with that ⛄️) and you don’t know which size to get, get the 5.9 inch package. The 5.1 is too small but since the reviews for these products are all jumbled together it’s hard to differentiate what goes with what. It took me a few different models of sliding door vent units to try but this one worked the best. You will need to replace the manufacturer hose head with the one in the kit. The one in this kit isn’t as good of quality as the LG one, but how silly is LG for not selling a sliding door kit or even giving me the option to buy one or two more sliders for a vent for my door?! Grrrr. Anyways, I am not the handiest of people but I set it up with no problem. It does the job. Is it perfect? No, but like I said, I am happy to have something that fits my slider and doesn’t look too bad.

Shodily constructed trash
Total junk. I should have looked more closely at the panels and questioned why there needs to be more thatn 2 panels to fit in a patio door, which is going to be a standard height. This is cheaply made plastic junk that flops around, bends, and has multiple places by design that leak hot air back inside. 1) The bolts fail to hold the piece together as set. The panels shift no matter how tightly the fasteners are turned; it is always slightly shorter in height by the end of the day. 2) Floppy and unweildy. Due to the number of short panels, there are multiple points of bend to the full panel, causing it to bow inward, outward and/or to one side, increasing both difficulty of setting and keeping it in place and creating an airtight seal around the panel. Note that the shorter in height is in addition to bowing. 3) Hot air inflow: Connection points create air pockets, reducing effectiveness. Even when the sides could be effectively secured to reduce hot air intake, the panels slide together in grooves that are open at either end, allowing hot air to flow indoors in multiple places on the entire height of the panel. Room was much hotter with this air flow leakage than when I reverted back to connecting the air conditioning unit to the window with the well made panel it came with. 4) Safety Concerns: No locking mechanism Given how flimsy the panel is, a lack of mechanism to secure it to any of the lock parts of a patio door makes it an unsafe choice during sleep or running the air conditioning while away for patio doors that also act as lower floor entry doors. 5) Waste of time/money Making this panel functional for at least this summer required enough time and purchases of additional foam striping, duct tape, and sturdier materials to get it workable that I could have made my own panel for cheaper and of better quality. 6) Ultimately Trash This is going in a dumpster to become landfill after this summer.

Works great
This product works great. Unfortunately the sealing draft stopper tap isn’t good. Needs to be used with duct tape.
