Perfect for my old iPod . So glad I could find this and it offers protection and access to all the controls.

I used this exact case for at least twelve years. Massive hours doing vigorous and messy gardening, dog walking, power washing, roof and gutter cleaning, staying doors and wooden trim for big remodel projects. The case took a real beating as I listened to my 13,238 cuts in a hundred playlists. Made the work ALMOST enjoyable. Great quality. Perfect fit. Old school to use an iPOD classic to access such a vast song library but I love having it at my fingertips in a sturdy case. I highly recommend it especially for seriously hard workers.

It is a nice case but it pops open all the time. The clasp holds but not to a great degree. The clip to hold makes it lean out to whatever you clasp it on. I wish it clicked closed and had a clear window in the front . I still recommend it though. There is not much options for Retro IPODS.

My husband and I are still nursing along our old iPod Classics. When they got some new batteries recently, we also decided to upgrade the old cases that were worn and shredded. I know there are folks out there that still love their iPods. Maybe we can keep ours going for another ten years, if we're lucky! Who knows! At least they've gotten some loving maintenance and the new cases just seemed necessary at this point. These fit perfectly and feel sturdy. Should last till the iPods finally die.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: After restoring an iPod a nice case is a desirable addition. This is very adequate as a protective cover and a carry case.

*updated when I remembered I'd written a review** the clip broke within a week. I knew it could so I was gentle with it but cheaply made don't care about gentle. That said; it's cheap enough to just replace the whole thing and keep a spare leather case in storage. All info should be in the video but if you don't want to listen to my voice; I get it. The material seems to be a high quality synthetic leather. It's soft and tough.. Doesn't want to shut, but should become more easy to manipulate over time. Fits THIN ipods. (About a quarter of an inch thick) Could fit the thicker (half inch) ones, but it would be real tight. The belt clip is easy to assemble; just push down and up onto the "nub" and you'll hear it click into place. To remove, push down on tab behind belt clip and it will slide right off. This thing is pretty unbeatable for less than $10. I'm happy with it. The only "downside" is that it doesn't make a good kickstand.. which, big deal. Would have been a nice bonus but it's not a requirement for me.
