Good deal for a small motor controller
I'm using this to drive a 24V 4 A motor. The heat sink gets barely warm after continuous running at reduced speed for hours. I'm planing to buy a few more of these for an industrial project. There a few things to be aware of however. The boards I received had quite a bit of solder flux residue on the bottom. This can be cleaned off easly with a little alcohol. The wiring on the potentiometer connector does not follow convention. The Red wire is ground , the Black wire is +5 V. Convention is the opposite. This controller is not going to use the pot but will be driven by a microcomputer. The external control works smoothly with 0 V being off and +5 V is full on. My take on the negative comments are as follows : The terminal connector not being wide enough can be solved by using a ring lug rather than a spade lug. This has worked out well on my test setup. The large 470 up capacitor exploding could be a failed cap. or over voltage. The application was a 90 V motor on a tread machine. The drive voltage was probably not regulated but just rectified line voltage which would exceed 100 V . So the 100 V cap. would be destroyed by over voltage. I recommend these units very highly. The cost is well below the cost of components and the PC board.

Good product. Works well for camera slider or turntable.
Perfect for running a small motor. I used a couple of these on separate projects to run small motors and they work well. Just 4 wires to connect - 2 to the battery supply and 2 to the motor and that's it. It is labelled right at the screw terminals for the wires so it's easy to connect up with no other instructions. Very smooth operation. It doesn't jerk at lower speeds like some others. I used them with the "HOSSEN Mini 12V DC 60 RPM High Torque Gear Box Electric Motor" and a couple of other motors in the same class also on Amazon. Cheap solution for a motorized camera slider or rotating turntable. I have one controlling a camera slider and it works perfectly and i have used it for many hours so far. I also have one turning a motorized turntable which i have put about 40 pounds of weight on and it works fine. I run it off 8 x D-cell batteries to get the 12v which works well. very pleased with this purchase.

Couldn't be happier
I did a complete overhaul of my forge, and decided to make a ribbon burner which would be much more efficient than my 2 old venturi style burners I made several years ago. Ribbon burners don't work without an external source of air flow. With a spare heater/air conditioner blower motor from my old Pontiac, I 3D printed an enclosure which turned it into a squirrel cage fan, and wanted to be able to adjust my air flow. After some research, I found these speed controllers here on Amazon, and decided to give them a try. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I'm using a salvaged power supply from a desktop PC for my 12 volts, connected to this speed controller, which is then connected to the blower motor, and I could not be happier with the outcome! I now have one kick@$$ homemade ribbon burner setup for my forge, for a small fraction of what I'd have paid to buy one. Zero regrets with this purchase. Whenever I need a speed controller for any future projects, these will be my 'go to'. I'll be using the 2nd speed controller from this 2-pack to make a similar ribbon burner for my metal melting foundry. I'll post some videos here with my review very soon. You won't regret using these for your projects. I'd give these 10 stars if I could.

Controls my above stove fan at 18v
I rewired my over stove/oven extractor to run at 18v dc using a step up transformer and this rheostat now controls the speed using from 0 to 18v. Now I have a greater range of fan speed. Also upgraded the lighting to three 12v LEDs, now also running up to 18v with a dimmer. So far it all works. This controller with its remote rheostat fits my application.

Works way better than the other one i had
This DC voltage regulator works awesome! I use it for controlling the speed of a 24V DC gable-mounted attic fan that I use as a whole house fan. For the last 7 years I've been using a different cheap voltage regulator that was finicky and wouldn't hold the fan speed steady once the voltage was reduced below about half. I wasn't really thinking that the reason might be due to the poor quality of the old regulator. I'm so glad I decided to swap out my old cheap one for this one. The price is about the same as what I paid for the crappy old one, but the difference in performance is striking. I can finally control the speed precisely, even at ultra-low speeds. In other words, it works perfectly. It looks like it was very well made with high quality components and high level of quality control. I recommend.

Lasted a day.
Worked for one day. Then just stopped. No voltage output. Annoying.

Performs flawlessly
The controller handled motor counter EMF without any hiccups. Speed range change was smooth with a linear potentiometer. It comes with 3/4 turn 5K pot that works well. Motor does change was also smooth using a10-turn linear pot. Solid construction and interconnects. Tests were at 6A, 13V. Very happy with this product. Great value. Cheaper to buy than purchase the parts and build.

Perfect! Works as expected
Originally I ordered a cheaper speed control for the new shaker motor I installed in my virtual pinball machine. It didn't work. Dropped this one in its place and it did the job perfectly. Easy to install, I just wish the pot wasn't a panel mount and was either mounted to the board or included a small bracket to mount as you like.

Nice unit, great price, whats not to love!
I bought this as a motor controller for a camera slider I was automating. This is dynamite!!! It's voltage input range is fantastic, And the wired pot leads make for a versatile mounting arrangement. It works great, and works all the time. I'm just driving 12V through it now, but plan to up it to 24v, and it's great that it can more than handle this. No worries by purchasing this unit. If you need one, this is the one to get. Ordered on Saturday, scheduled to arrive Tuesday, but came on Monday! All around, a solid purchase. So fear not my Amazon shoppers!!!

Used it for Portia electric bike that had a burned motor controller.
Works well. I installed it to regulate my electric bike that had its regulator toasted. The 15A is right at the limit of power of the motor so the fuse blew a couple of times but if I am careful not to force it at max power, the new fuses last longer. Excellent for the price.
