Q: Does this have the same build quality & maximum resistance level as the Classic? It seems like a much lower price for just the few things mentioned.

I returned mine. The quality was just not what I expected from the brand and for that price.

Q: Is this similar to the old Bullworker X5?

It appears to be the same as the old one from the 80’s in style and function.

Q: Does the Basic have the same warranty as the Classic?

It should have the same warranty. I never bothered to worry because my collection of Bullworkers are still going strong. What this model doesn't have is the inter-changeable springs.

Q: so what is the benefit to this versus Iso7?

ISO 7X was recalled for dangerous quality issues and is being dumped.
