Ronco ST5272ESDRM Rotisserie Oven, Espresso

I have had several Ronco's since they first came out and like this cooking method.the new one is innovative and I like it with the one exception that all the juices coming off the meat do not end up in the drip pan. Because of the angle some drips on to the reflection surface which means that this surface has to be cleaned every time. I find putting a block under the legs to change the angle, less cleanup time is required

I watched the infomercials for these things growing up as a child and I always said I wanted one. I don't know what took me so long to get one. I have only used it twice so far, but I feel like I will be doing the majority of my meats in it. My first meal was a whole chicken. The skin was crispy and flavorful. The inside was cooked to perfection following the recipe guide book that comes with it. Cleanup was a breeze. My second meal was a Thanksgiving turkey. 3 hours later came out the best turkey I've ever tasted. It was also moist and juicy on the inside and crisp on the outside. It comes with a basket to do smaller meats and kabobs, which is what I am aiming to try again. As long as I have this thing, I doubt I will ever cook a large piece of meat in the oven again. If you plan on buying one, save yourself some time and purchase some additional elastic food ties. I just bought one for my mother as I am sure she's going to love it just as much as I do.

I've had the "original Ronco" for over 20 years; loved it! However, it was literally falling apart, the base was broken, the cord overheated etc. I thought I would stick with the brand since I got such great use from the original but I was way wrong. First, although my old Ronco was a bit flimsy, the cooking parts were solid, heavy metal. The new one was even more flimsy with the cooking parts feeling lighter and cheap. I tried cooking a medium sized chicken, about 6.5 lbs and 5 minutes into the cooking I can see burn marks on the skin! 10 minutes in and my whole house was smoked out! This was complete garbage, terrible construction for what was once an awesome product.

I've owned it for a month and love it. I've cooked boned in chicken breast, a whole chicken, two pork shoulders, and chicken wings and each meal has turned out fantastic. I've had no issues with noise, food too large for the rotisserie, or size of the unit. It's much easier to use than a toaster oven style rotisserie. It's easy to disassemble for cleaning. The only draw back is that I didn't see anything in the instructions that said if any of the parts are dishwasher safe.

Really love the way our Chicken came out and plan to use to for a myriad of items from Veggies to Proteins. However, the interior pan was difficult to clean. Had to call Ronco and jump through hoops of repetitively explaining the issue and how to properly clean it without scratching it (and no, the cleaning pads by the bald guy in white will only scratch the surface). They opted to send us a new piece but I foresee this happening again as the dripping combined with the heat is what made the stain.

Just made my first chicken and it was fantastic! This really is a great addition to the kitchen and super easy to use. The chicken was much better than the grocery and anyway I want to avoid antibiotics/hormones in food so can now get organic! Huge thanks to some other reviewers who shared the tip of using cooking spray inside for easy clean up - really was a breeze to clean! Will also mention others tips to put on rub and into fridge for at least 4 hours before cooking to help dry skin for crispy skin and the most moist chicken I've had in a long time. Mentioning all this because I'm a newby and these tips helped me. The gloves that come with it are worthless - hands burning through so tossed those.

I'm loving this rotisserie. I bought it to roast the thanksgiving turkey this year. It's fast, easy to clean, easy to disassemble, and makes delicious food. I've done chickens, a ham and a couple beef roasts already and everything turns out amazing. The only negative, if I were to come up with one, it's a little noisy. But you get used to it.

The EZ store is overall disappointing. My main issue with this appliance is the fact that it is under powered. It advertises 15 mins per lb but cooking a 6 lb chicken took more like 30mins per lb. Also, this device wastes a lot of good heat from the top due to the space between where the cover attaches to the top. As frustrating as this can be it is really just a matter of allowing double the time for the meat to get to a safe temperature. What really frustrated me the most was the heat shield. Straight out the box the heat shield will not stay in place. On my first use it would move out of position several times. Since it's between the heating elements and the meat it is very difficult to put back in it's place without burning yourself. I am honestly very surprised that I have not seen anyone else comment on the heat shield issue I'm having. Perhaps I received a faulty product because I would think there would be way more complaints about this issue. As a fix I now have to fold up an aluminum pot pie pan to keep the heat shield in place until the meat is done cooking. Overall, I feel this product is poorly constructed and simply not thought through.

we have had the original ronco 25 years only used outside on the patio used about 3 times a week, why are u saying not to use outdoors, never used indoors it does smoke especially with Prime Rib Roasts . We used even in middle of winter ,took it everywhere on holidays in trailer ,the only way ,we have cooked a turkey in 25 years . Hope our new one lasts that long !!

Things went very smooth. I would not hesitate with ordering from Amazon again.

Arrived on time. The chichen roasted with this machine is even better than those made by Costco which always makes the best roast chicken in terms of tenderness, juicy and flavour. Also it saves power bill. You cook only 45 minutes instead of 2 and half hours in oven. A must have.

After 2 use it stop working.,, it’s just sitting there because my parents decided to buy rotisserie on BBQ.
