It was plug and play and works great with 10 Gigabit Aqua Fiber Optic Cable, LC/LC, Multimode, Duplex (#B01735WPSE). They just work.
I used these to electrically isolate the ethernet cat6 line going outside in case of a lightening strike. Instead of a ethernet surge suppressor, I installed a short 3 ft length of fiber optic cable. They worked perfectly and we can't even tell they're in the line.
