So far it's everything I wanted it to be
I can't believe how hard it is to find an unmanaged fanless (or at least quiet) 16+ port gigabit rack mountable POE switch. Which I understand somewhat, since POE is inherently going to generate some heat that needs to be dissipated, and in a 1u form factor that tends to require obnoxious loud fans. Basically the only options come from less recognizable brands. Mokerlink seemed like the best of the varyingly dubious candidates. I don't have a need to source crazy amounts of wattage -- just cameras and a few access points -- so I thought it might work out for me. Since there aren't many reviews for this form factor, it seemed worth adding my positive data point for anyone else stressing out over the choice like I was. And for the ~8 months I've had it, so far it has been great! I have 10 PoE cameras and 3 WAPs connected (all with runs of varying lengths, some pretty long), plus a VMS (NVM) server and connection to a separate switch, and it has performed flawlessly in an open rack in the corner of a room with the temperature set to 80 degrees. As quiet as you'd expect from being fanless. Very pleased with this, so long as it continues to function as it has been. Really excellent value, and like I said, I fulfills a need that no more recognizable brands seem interested in trying to offer.

Budget poe switch with speed to spare
An unmanaged switch with incomparable specs. I needed a little poe switch to power some ubiquiti access points. Also needed to chain it to another switch with full bandwidth. This thing delivered. Each ethernet port is 2.5gb and can do poe. The uplink to another switch uses a 10gb sfp+ connection for full speed. This, using an affordable DAC, linked up with no fuss to a bigger Mokerlink switch with more ports and more bandwidth. All of it was plug and play. It worked straight away with no problems.

A great value for a 8 port 2.5g PoE+ switch
I'm using switch with various devices and Unifi downstream switches without issue. What I wanted it specifically for was to power 3 Unifi PoE+ APs with a 10g SFP uplink transceiver and it works great. I get full 2.5g speeds to my home server and full wifi 6e speeds to my access points. It has a relatively high PoE power budget at this price point which is also nice for any expansion. Another plus is it is wall mountable. One thing I would have liked to have is an SFP downlink but it's still a great value for smaller networks.

TIP: If you cameras are rebooting randomly, it might be the switch AI reboot feature
So far so good. Will update if there is a reliability issue. Pro-TIP: A couple cameras in my test system started rebooting randomly. I thought it was a camera issue - took me a bit to realize I was not recording to the NVR (as I was testing camera features) and the Mokerlink auto-restart system was not detecting traffic and rebooted the camera as it's supposed to. Once I setup up NVR recording no more reboots.

Extra Ports for Additional hookups to my computer
Exactly what I needed to expand my ports and provide extra functionality to install my camera's up to my computer. It was easy to install and provide my storage needs.

Straight Forward On Its Own, Saw Speed Improvements
I like probably many running out of ports on my all in one routers, a Nighthawk. Plus needed PoE to run an Aruba which is the plan to better update wireless over time. Standards are just rocketing in improvements and all in one solution too costly to just replace. Keep in mind this is a simple switch and does not have all the features an all in one might have. There is a GUI and some configurations if I recall, double check on that. Price to performance I am not sure you can beat it. Cousin recommended it and as far I can recall have not had to reset it by a power cycle for any reason. I plan to eventually move to a router to run the modem through and allow the Pi-Hole to run DHCP service.

POE Dead on Arrival - Mokerlink POE-2G080110GS
MokerLink 8 Port 2.5G PoE Switch with 10G SFP+ Slot, 8 x 2.5G Base-T Ports Compatible with 10/100/1000Mbps, IEEE8023af/at PoE 135W, Metal Unmanaged Fanless Small Network Switch POE dead on arrival. standard LAN 2.5gb was still functional, but i tried several POE devices and couldn't get the device to power them. i have a standard 2.5gb Mokerlink managed switch, (2G080110GSM) and its been working great for a year, so i thought this would be a good POE hub. Device arrived appearing undamaged. when plugged in the "sys" light on the right side was blinking quickly and non-stop. my 2.4 uplink worked fine, i tried the SFP+ DAC uplink and that worked fine. the device just wouldn't pick up the POE devices. Mokerlink has a phone number, but it's international. After this, i am considering switching out my other mokerlink managed 2.5gb switch. i dont need that one failing and bring my network down.

POE Value.
My 2009 Trendnet switch died. I'm working from home so my home PC, my Mac Thunderbolt display, my work laptop and my OctoPi all need ethernet for a good stable connection and are on the opposite side of the house from my wifi router. I needed something fast and would love to be able to try some POE experiments later. (Will need to get a POE hat for my OctoPi setup Also thinking about a POE wifi extender.) 1 Day shipping was really cool and a factor for making a decision on this switch. The price is basically double a non-POE switch but still considerably less than other POE switches. About the same price as a traditional router and 1 POE injector. But the MokerLink is a better value because it has 4 POE ports. It's thicker and wider than the my old switch. The power supply is built in, so the height and width seems to be to accommodate the transformer inside. It uses a standard PC power supply plug aka "C14" plug. Did have to toggle the switch to Enabled for the "Extend" option. The options are "Enabled" and "Default"... IMHO it should have been "Enabled"/ "On" for the sharing and "Isolate", "Disabled" or "Off" to be more clear which option is which. "Default" does not give info about it's state. Overlooking that cosmetic issue this is a very good value.

Cheap and works well to power Unifi U6 Pro access points
Bought the 4 port POE version of this to power 2 Unifi U6 access points. It works just fine and was cheaper than buying a pair a power injectors. I checked after a couple of days and the device runs cool. Hopefully this will continue to work in the long term
