Snowman/snowdog Double Feature

My fiance grew up with this animated short and had never seen the sequel (nor even knew about it). I purchased this as an early X-Mas gift and couldn't be happier. They're beautiful and should be a staple in every household. Quality was excellent (received used) and shipping was fast. Thank you!

What a sweet, beautiful movie for Christmas. The Snowman is my favorite from the 2 on this disc, but my son could watch it over and over and I love that there are no words, just music and a sweet story of a boy and his snowman. This is going to be a staple in our Christmas movies.

We absolutely enjoy this movie incredibly! Music is soothingly soft; as the drawings are eclectically beautiful! Our grandson is mesmerized but the film; has a calming effect on this nonverbal 22 month old! The story is special and we have enjoyed it since it’s release in 1982. Just miss David Bowie in the beginning!

Purchased as a gift! The Snowman has been a family favorite since the 80's and I was blown away to find out there was a second film created called The Snowdog! There's not a lot of merch available from this series so I was pretty happy to find this DVD set for the mother-in-law. She loved it so much she cried lol.

Cute movie! Of course it's not as good as the original but it kept the same storyline and stayed as true as possible! The dog being there in the end comforting the boy made it more heartfelt and I liked that a lot!! Still a tearjerker tho even as an adult!

The Snowman is a lovely animated film in which a child builds a snowman, who comes to life! Wordless, except for one song, the music is hauntingly beautiful and helps create the magical mood. The Snowman & the Snowdog continues the story. Based on the classic children's book, "Raymond Briggs' The Snowman." I loved it. My kids loved it. My grandkids love it.

I was thrilled to find The Snowman movie which is a lovely gentle story with no dialogue, but beautiful music to accompany it. My children loved this movie when they were small and I bought it as a gift to them. I take 1 star away for the sequel, which I had never seen until now, for death themes that I think should be noted on the packaging. I’m very very glad I did not have the sequel when my children were small. I think it might have traumatized them at a young age. But I can’t rate the first movie high enough. I’m give it 5 stars!

Surprise for me...they sent both DVD movies of The Snowman plus The Snowman & the Snowdog. Our two year old grand daughter is in love with both of them..she keeps calling out Snowman..but in toddler words...NoMan...She loves the beautiful scenes and the orchestra music that is played through out the movies. The music is so calm and touches the soul. Love these two movies so much.
