this was a replacement for one that was easily more than a decade old. I like them and the adaptability to the dust collection to a vac system is nice.

Review From My Husband!
I love this DEWALT sander! It’s powerful, easy to control, and super comfortable to use. It sands fast and smooth, and the dust bag is easy to pop on and off. Just a heads up—it uses sticky discs instead of Velcro, but it’s totally worth it for the performance.

It sands...
I like the old model (DW420) better than this new model and had my old DEWALT sander for 20+ years before deciding to get this one. The design is still great and I think this is one of the better orbit sanders on the market.

Husband told me he would like to have this for small around the house jobs. He said he has used several times and works well.

Not As Advertised
It's hard to tell from the photos and the description is iffy, but this looks like this sander used "hook and eye" (Velcro) type. Even in the description, it says people also buy...and it shows hook/eye sanding pads. So, I bought the sander to go with the pads I already had, but it came needing stick on pads, which always burn through and leave glue goop all over the sander, so back this one went.I had ordered the next one up, but after multiple delays I cancelled that one and went with this slightly cheaper one that didn't have variable speeds. Too bad I either missed the type of pads it needed or it wasn't indicated. I went back and fixed my old black and decker, which finished the job I had at home.

Great Product - missing a vital piece
I like how it’s working so far. The one item missing from the order was the adhesive sticky pad to which all sanding disks attach. Additional money out of pocket before I could commence the project.
