At Home: Sarah Style

Sarah Richardson had an HGTV show that I loved. It's no longer on HGTV which is a shame. In this book she shows the various homes she and her family have lived in. While she's wonderful with other people's homes, it's the ones she does for herself, often using inexpensive used furniture, that are the best.

I happen to love the way Sarah mixes old, used items with new purchases and throws in some bold colors with neutral rooms, so I throughly enjoyed this book and will reference it for years to come as I tweet my own home. I miss her show on HGTV as it was a highlight for me whenever I was able to catch it and although the book is a picture story of each of the houses she renovated on her shows it is a reminder of what one can do to have a home you look forward to coming to at the end of the day.

Sarah Style is timeless style. When I am perusing decors photos, it is often easy to say, oh you can tell that room was done in (insert any year). Not so with Sarah Style. Some of the homes featured were probably done at least 10 years ago; however, they still look fresh and modern today. Sarah is the queen of non-traditional traditional decor. I just wish HGTV would bring Sarah back to the states, but until then, this book will be my inspiration go-to!

I loved this book with Sara’s many designs of color and timeless classic design. Everything is so tastefully designed with beautiful and comfortable flow in every room. Such inspiring ideas. Her recipes at the end were tasty and with lots of variety. Interior design ‘Beauty’ at its best.

I am a Sarah fan - but if you are and have seen her TV shows, then there's really nothing new here. The photos are beautiful and the styling and the homes shown in this book are all Sarah's personal residences past or present and have all been seen in TV.

I really liked this book. The choices would not all be mine but she has an eye for making their houses their home. It is nice to see someone happy and connected with their life, and I enjoyed seeing that happiness radiated through her home(s). And if you really look you see that a lot of pieces that she uses I've seen in places like T.J. Maxx. It's inspired. And it inspires me to look around and see my home, and how I might make it more personal... sometimes just a furniture shift can make a huge difference. Thank you, Ms. Richardson.

I love Sarah Richardson I have followed her for many years on all her shows i have watched them over and over she is my favorite designer. I am a designer in training i have decorated from a child i did it naturally her books are done with the same class and distinction as she does every thing else i expected no less I purchased both her books she is the best.

Love Sarah's style, so I was bound to love this book. Dreamy photos and great text make this book both inspirational AND useful. Now, if I could only figure out a way to get her to come to my house and redo it... But seriously, I like the organization of the book and the way she describes putting room together.
