Buck Collins shares eminently practical ideas and tips to survive and thrive during an emergency. I loved that this book was not a panic driven, fear based look at prepping. Not only did he list basics needed, he gave food for thought as to how to prepare for any situation, based on what the reader should think about. He also gave hope and espoused helping in the community during the aftermath of an emergency situation. Kudos, sir! You are a gift to your family and community!

A great read. Buck takes the real approach to survival but adds the human touch to real life scenarios. Ask yourself this ...are you prepared enough so that you will be ready should a disastrous situation happen? Common sense and a calm approach to being ready for the time you will need useful survival skills and information to assist your family during a difficult time.

Written for the newbie like myself in mind. Buck's guide gave me enough information to get better prepared and ready for the next dire circumstance. I have already reevaluated my current food and neccessary stores around the house and started building a bug out bag. I plan to get a few follow up books to piggy back off this one but truth be told, this was a very informative book.

The author not only talks about good ways of being prepared for an emergency but why it is important. I love the fact that buying guns and hiding from life isn't what is important. What's important is mental attitude, kindness and love for not only your family but for friends your neighborhood and mankind. Yes to be prepared to meet any emergency but to also look for ways to help and serve others. To look out for the very young and the elderly that may not be able to completely help themselves. Mr collins covers just about everything you've thought of and a bunch you probably hadn't. Obviously Christian based but not crammed in your face like so many are. He makes his points but leaves the decisions on how, when, where and why totally up to the reader.

Not bad, but very basic. A blueprint if you will. The author lists things that should be done, but leaves it up to you to research how to really do it. If you have basic survival skills/prep this is not for you. I’m no means a survivorist or hardcore prepper but an avid outdoors man/camper/backpacker and this didn’t teach me anything I didn’t know with a common sense approach to the topic. Easy read.

When I bought this I did not know that it was written with the current pandemic in mind. I bought this as a steppingstone in my journey. I’m very glad to see that it will be useful.
