Modern Card Counting: Blackjack

We often enjoy reaching and studying stratigies
My boyfriend bought this to practice with. We both work in the casino industry. We both gamble occasionally. We often enjoy reaching and studying stratigies. This was well written, easy to follow, and most of all you could see the process working.Only con is your own individual pace. Some people pick up faster than others. It's repetition so eventually it happens. Not to mention where we live not many games offered to go practice live. But still run to practice at home.

A Good Read for Anyone Headed to a Casino
I purchased this book because my husband is always having "the guys" come over for Blackjack and my blatant inability to play led to my exclusion from the fun. After reading this book and even before being able to truly practice some of the finer details, I was able to blow my husband and his friends out of the water come Blackjack night. On top of that, the pot I took didn't hurt my Christmas shopping needs either. This book is easy to read, comprehend, and use. It explains everything from the game itself to the statistics involved in counting. With a few more weeks of practice, I could make some serious cash from these methods. While I have no intentions on taking my newly acquired skills to the casino (we aren't close to one at all), I'll definitely keep this book in mind should a trip to Vegas come about.

Good overview if you're looking to take up counting
I liked this book. It was easy to read, easy to understand and didn't drone on about nonsense or unrelated information. A good starting point for someone looking into counting.

This really works!
Wow! My boyfriend had become obsessed with wanting to learn how to count cards after watching some movies where actors make it look kind of easy. Secretly, I never ever thought he'd be able to learn to count cards because he's not super great at math or anything. But, when I saw an add for this book at Sams Club, I thought, "why not buy it for him for his birthday?" In two weeks, he actually went to the casino and came home with enough money for us to take a cruise!!!!We had such great luck with this, I just sent a gift copy of the ebook to my brother-in-law to read on his Kindle.Cheers to the author--brilliant work!

Too many discrepancies.
Quite a few contradictory issues makes me wonder what other details that I have no way of validating are wrong or misleading. There is a Quick Key chart with the most important variations by number of decks,2,4,6..Following this are complete charts for standing, doubling, splitting according to the count in 2 deck games. In the Quick Key chart 15 v 10 tells you to stand at -2 and above. In the full chart it is Zero and above. However,on page 45 he gives the Quick Key example.16 v 10,Quick key states -2 and above. In the full chart it is -8 and above. There are many others including doubling down discrepancies. So I have to view other charts as suspect?I will run it through the computer? He gives zero to all black twos and sevens and zero to eights and nines. In a four deck shoe there are 48 unaccounted for cards and 32 are high value eights and nines that will bust when the count is telling you there are more lows than highs.Doesn`t compute but then maybe it is too complex for me?
