Aahu Barah Mother Basmati Sela Rice, 10 Pound

This is the most perfect rice. Please note this is sela basmati so very popular rice used in West Asian and Central Asian cooking. Qabeli Palau. Chalau. etc is made best with this rice. It is superior long grain rice and keeps its integrity even if you accidentally over cook them. But of course, you won't overcook this! It is the most fragrant and tasteful dish. Love this! Came fairly fast! My BFF went to a rice expo and was RAVING about this rice. "It was THE best rice there!!" she was absolutely giddy!! We are huge rice fans as our families are from another country and we both eat rice for every meal. I gave it a shot and it was very, very good. My husband, who is not use to eating rice as much as I am, said it smelled funny. I don't think it was stinky, but it does have a distinctive smell. I loved it! It is wonderful alone or with food on top. You can soak it for a couple of hours if you want or not. It is amazing rice! A little pricy for rice, but totally worth it! and the bags they come in are totally awesome, I use them to put food in when we travel! They zip up so the kids can have their own 'snack sacks'. Next time I order we want to make purses!

I was recommended to this rice and I was not disappointed. The bag has a zipper and protects the rice from spilling or making a mess. It stores perfectly well. The rice cooks so yummy. It’s somewhat on the expensive side of the rice but one you taste it, it will be worth it!

Love this rice, the grain is long and it's great when you have guests. This rice doesn't have Aroma but cooks beautiful

I cooked this rice for the first time. Very disappointed. When regular Basmati rice is cooked, pleasant aroma fills entire home, grains are slender and long and tastes delicious. This outrageouly expensive Mother basmati rice has no aroma, scent or taste. grains are plump. Total waste of money. Wish I could return this rice for regular basmati rice.

Expensive but worth it. Beautiful, fragrant and wonderfully flavorful grains. I would recommending washing/ soaking this rice for the best results, they come out fluffy and with amazing texture.
