The first problem is the small metal pieces were all just loose inside the outer cardboard box. Unsurprisingly as a result, there were three pieces missing. Two screw-peg things like in my first picture, which meant I couldn't properly attach the back board, and also one of the bolts for the drawer handle.Speaking of which, see the photo where I compare the drawer handle to the holes pre-drilled for it. The holes are too far apart... For my own amusement I used the one available bolt to attach the handle via one of the holes, leaving me with an off-centre handle that bends away from the drawer when you pull on it. But it sadly didn't cheer me up at all.Also (not exactly pictured, but the second picture isn't far off) when the drawer is closed, it has a 1 cm gap along the top, presumably because the fittings for the shelf above were put in the wrong place.Finally the whole design is ridiculous. The desk itself is just too narrow to have such a wide drawer unit inside it, so there is hardly enough room to fit your legs under it.I can't be bothered to wait any longer for a replacement, nor would I bother getting one of this type because it's clearly a piece of junk thrown together at random. So instead I took it apart, got rid of the drawer/shelf unit which freed two pegs to replace the missing ones, and now I have four pieces of chipboard with pine-effect plastic coating, just about hanging together in the form of a small table, that wobbles slightly when I type, which in turn makes my monitor wobble. It'll have to do I suppose.Learn from my mistake - buy nothing from Office Hippo.

I am really sorry to have to say that this product is not up to scratch. It was slightly damaged (chipped edges etc) when delivered. Overall, it is very basic, in terms of flat-pack furniture. It was moderately easy to assemble, but it completely lacks the necessary sturdiness and durability. I am relying on this as my daily workstation and am frankly quite disappointed with it. I was going to write a review earlier, but now that the drawer in the desk - which wasn't satisfactory before - has now fallen out completely, I am forced to tell others about this. I will contact you (the supplier) but, in the meantime, I am unable to recommend this product to others.

Item was easy to put together until we came to the drawer!!The handle is too small and the drawer doesn't actually fit in the space!Spent 2 hours trying to reach a resolution with Amazon and was told that I would have to arrange my own collection with Hermes and wait to be reimbursed. Cannot understand why I am being inconvenienced through no fault of my own.

I had concnerns about this item given the negative reviews but felt like I would risk it and order anyway. This was a huge mistake. When taking it out of the box every single piece of the flat pack had at a minimum a huge chip in the plyboard, at worst parts were completely snapped off. Hugely disappointing, not worth ordering- just terrible quality.

I was missing all 8 of the mini fix pins which meant I couldn't assemble the desk. I had to go externally to purchase the minifix pins and the standard 35mm size are too small for the desk. I am now going to have to spend more time and money to find parts externally. Also the handle of the desk is missing.Such a shame as I was looking forward to using the desk!

I was expecting more for the price tag. Flimsy and unsteady product whose corner started falling apart two weeks after using it. It’s not a furniture solution for adults as I can’t even have my legs under the desk due to the shelf on the right-handside which constantly scratches me.

This table had chipped sideboards when it arrived. Not good quality and you would be better off with Ikea.
