I have naturally really wavy and somewhat curly hair that goes completely berserk in the humidity, the wind, at the beach, and at the pool. Since these are not only the main places and conditions that give me frizzy or uncontrollable hair, but also my favorite places to be, I buy a lot of hair products in an effort to keep my hair from looking like a complete mess. I don't necessarily want to change what my hair looks like naturally, so I purchased this Awapuhi Wild Ginger spray and it REALLY helps me to look my best! The wild ginger scent is delightful, and the spray not only controls my frizz, but it keeps my curls and waves looking more uniform and defined. I was surprised at how long it lasted throughout the day, as well as how it does not have the greasy, flattening effect of some other hair oils and creams. As a word of caution, it's better to spray in a small amount and use your fingers or a brush to disperse the product through your hair instead of just spraying like a maniac. This way you will avoid emptying the bottle too quickly as well as not having too much build up on your hair. Highly recommended!

In summer, I spray this on my hair and it smells divine and also gets my hair curly after a swim!

This product is the best texturizing spray that I have tried. My hair is fine with natural curls and this texturizing spray makes my hair look fuller. A little goes a long way. Spray lightly and use a comb, brush or your fingers to disperse it.

I purchased the wild ginger texturizing sea spray for the first time last year, and absolutely adored it! The smell was incredible and it worked just as it should, creating beachy waves in my hair. I purchased it recently for the second time, and I’m disappointed it does not have the wild ginger sent that it did last time. It says it’s new packaging with the same great product, but the product ingredients are listed in a different order, reducing the amount of ginger. It does still help to create beach waves, but not as intensely.

I don't usually write reviews but this spray is what I've been wishing to have for years! All the other products I tried made my hair too greasy, too crunchy or just did not help my hair do what I wanted it to do. I have long and fine hair and it's wavy. If I don't blow dry it straight and just let it air dry, it becomes very frizzy and looks like a big mess. When I spray this all over my wet, combed hair and scrunch it a little bit with my hands and let it air dry, I end up with beach waves and pretty ringlets in my hair. I spray it liberally. It doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy or stiff. The more liberally I spray, the better the waves and the less the frizz. This really works my hair. Actually both me and my teenage daughter use it (we have slightly different hair types) and we both love what it does to our hair. I wish I had this product a long time ago. Now i can wear my hair naturally without it looking like a frizz mess. No need to blow dry or straighten unless I want to. This product is saving me so much time.

When I ran out of this I didn't know where to buy it since the first bottle I had came from a salon in Utah where I got my hair done O(I live in Texas). So, I started trying some from Sephora, Ulta and even bought like 5 or 6 different ones from a beauty supply company on my friend's license. NONE of them work like this one does and some of them don't even have the actual sea salt in them. All the other ones make my hair heavy and clump together in sections but this brand makes my hair seriously look tussled and like I really did just let it air dry after being at the beach. Never thought to look at Amazon before. Would have saved me so much time and sooooo much money. I will never buy anything else but this stuff! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's expensive for the little bottle but then, so are all the other ones. I buy another bottle when I open a new one so I never am without this ever again!!!

I have used this product for many years and love it. Gives my very fine short hair nice texture without stickiness. Unfortunately, it's no longer sold in Canada so I have to pay double plus shipping to get it from the US. It's worth it.
