Durablow MFB003-B EP62-1 Replacement Fireplace Blower Fan Kit for Continental, Napoleon, Wolf Steel, Rotom R7-RB62

This unit replaced my old worn one in under 10 minutes. No need to modify anything it bolted right into place. It's 2x quite than my old dirty fan but I think it could benefit from being even more quiet. It definetly generates a white noise type sound. Very effective at moving the air from my stove into the room.

It only took about an hour to mount these blowers to my homemade fireplace insert and they work like a charm. They put out a lot of air which circles under the stove and exits back out across the top warm as toast. I couldn't be happier.

Direct replacement for napoleon gas fireplace. Mounts directly on existing mounting plate . Fan is quieter than original one. Price is very good. Very satisfied so far.

I researched a lot of blower motors for my fireplace and was nervous due to the low price of this unit.I was relieved by its quality when it arrived. It’s prewired so there is very little work needed to install.It was kinda tricky to get it into place in my Napoleon BGD-33N fireplace but after that it went pretty quick. The wing but that came with it didn’t work on the bolt in my fireplace but luckily I found one that worked in my garage.Also, you may need a three prong to two prong converter like me. I also had one on hand. It only took about 45 minutes to install and that includes a good cleaning.It took about 7-8 minutes for the fan to turn on after firing up the fireplace. It ran quiet and made a huge difference. Would buy again!

This is quieter and stronger built then the other ones I bought in the past.One improvement that all products of this type is to have where the fan's end of shaft rotate be Teflon coated.My fan runs 24/7 in a wood stove for the entire heating season. I have to remove it from the stove to oil the shaft at least 3 times a season. If you don't oil it, it makes an unbearable amount of noise. After 3 seasons the oiling doesn't work any more and you have to replace the whole unit.

Been installed for a month or so now. Works great. Maybe a little louder on the highest setting than the original unit but blows a lot more air than you really need on high. I think its important to clean these things at least once per season to get the longest life. They get clogged with lots of dust due to the nature of the use.

The original GZ552 blower in my Napoleon fireplace was made in Slovenia and it is a much higher quality than this replacement blower. The later one is made of much thinner material and it is much louder, ever at lower speeds. The old blower life span was 5 years ( winters) of intensive use; I will consider myself lucky if the replacement lasts half of it!The good thing is that mounting was straight-forward without unexpected surprises; from that perspective one can say that it is really a "direct" replacement! However, the fact that you have to disassemble half of the fireplace to get the blower out or in, says more about Napoleon fireplace design, rather than blower itself!

Blower has simple brass friction bearings. It started to make intermittent noise 5 min after installation.I believe shaft is bit out of center. You get what you paid for. I had to take my gas fireplace completely apart to install this and I hope I will not have to do it again soon. Next time I will spend extra money and get unit with ball bearings. Again for the money unit its ok.

I was weary because of the low price; but it is quieter, blows better and stronger than the factory fan. This was installed in my Continental 280 gas fireplace. The unit wasn’t listed as compatible but the product number matched. I don’t think I’ll need another one any time soon. But if I do I’ll reorder this one.

The local Napoleon dealer wanted almost 3 times what the price I paid for this replacement blower on Amazon. It was shipped very quickly and arrived in a couple of days. The picture in the description shows the blower attached to a mounting plate but it arrived without it. Regardless, it fit perfectly on the old mounting plate and installed easily. One problem was that the electrical connectors are on the front of this replacement blower where the old one had them on the side. I had to bend the connectors down at an angle in order for them to clear the access panel, otherwise they would have shorted out against the access panel. The replacement blower spins at a higher rate then the original which causes quite a bit of fan noise when it is on high. I have to keep it about half speed to reduce the noise level but it still pushes lots of air. I highly recommend this as a replacement blower for your fireplace along with the vender.
