GOOD FOR THE PRICE
This is the second direct wire power cord that I have bought, both from amazon. I put one in my old car, and one in my new car! (was too lazy to take the old one out!) The hardest part is having the patience to find an ignition wire that you can tap into. On my last car, I found a wire under the dash, shaved some insulation off, wrapped the wire around it, taped it, and finally ran the cord up the A-arm. Pretty easy. On my new car, I had to go into the fuse box. I really didn't want to do this... -____- I ended up using the wire tap thing that comes with this (the blue piece). All in all, it works just fine. I just wish I could have found a wire elsewhere! Works just as advertised! Also lets me keep my radar detector up in the blue tint strip to make it less obvious to thieves and cops. ;) No more coiled up cord hanging down!

This Power Cord Worked Perfectly!
I have an Escort Passport 9500ix Radar Detector and hardwired it today to my fuse box using an Add A Circuit Connector! The installation went flawlessly except for two minor problems one being I had a hard time finding a grounding source on my 2020 Subaru Forester that was easy to get at and the second removing the fuse with a fuse puller. I had one of those cheap plastic fuse puller tools and could not get the fuse out. I would recommend to anyone removing the fuse from your fuse panel to use a needle-nose pliers. I used a 5 amp fuse on the Add A Circuit from my radar detector and a 7.5 amp fuse for the power source for my mirror since this was the fuse it was already using. The cord itself is of fine quality and is easily concealed!

No low power issues with Escort radar detector direct wire.
I bought another brand name direct wire it worked for one month before low power issues . So decided to go with Escort's direct wire no problems for 15 months.

Does the job - works well - way too much wire
the wire was VERY LONG. I only needed about 8" of it to wire the escort up to my mirror which has power for the map lights in my corvette. In the end what you're paying for is the socket that goes into the escort, that's it. The wire itself IS flat which is a plus if you need to conceal it which is what I did through the headliner. I didn't even use the fuse that comes with it. I cut the wire down to about 8", and then spliced the small little wires into my harness - done.... Much cheaper than other corvette specific items (corvette tax)

Mirror power adaptor
Worked as stated, Chevrolet dealer provided wire colors, pins must be inserted in correct location on mirror plug,if you insert them at the correct point they will easily go in there full length, other wise they will only go in part way and come lose. tie the wrap power cable to mirror cable at the point were the power cord has the heat shrink on the pin end. By doing this you will have no problem with the leads coming loose from the mirror plug socket. I twisted and turned the mirror and the pins stayed connected and did not loosen up. I would recommend this product as it cleans up the dash area with no unsightly cable going to the auxiliary power outlet on the vehicle. I installed this for a Escort 8500 X50 in my 2012 Tahoe. Very please although I thought the price was a little high, but it works. The supplier sent me an email asking for type of vehicle etc. and a picture of the back of the mirror if possible, excellent customer service.

Great product, worked as described
I used this to direct-wire my Passport 8500 x50 Black edition RD. I ended up using an Add-a-Circuit cable (10amp) from the local car parts store ($3). Basically all you need to do is cut the end of the escort cable and crimp it to the add-a-circuit and put in a couple 5amp fuses. Then plug it into one of the 5amp fuses slots in the cars' fuse box that only turns on when the car gets turned on, like the radio fuse or cigarette lighter fuse. Also, make sure you ground the other end of the cable somewhere in the fuse box before you plug the add-a-circuit into the fuse box. Overall this is a great cable, its a little thick, but it easily tucked into my headliner at the top of the windshield then I stuffed it down the weather stripping on the door jam all the way down to my fuse box. No more corded cable hanging down!

5 months in use, and no problems.
Everything you see in the description is what you get. The shipping came in on time. The wiring was plenty long enough to tuck inside the interior. How I installed it: I connected the ground wire (the circle end) to a metal screw driver that luckly near the fuse box. Then I cut off the tip of the positive wire (spade looking tip, or red/black wire) and wrapped it around a 5 amp fuse reciever tip (doesn't matter which one), and then just nudged it back into the fuse box (this took me a few tries to get it right, and it might not feel like the "professional" way of doing, but it works) Make sure you connect the ground wire (circle shape, or black wire) to a CORRECT random screw in your car. Because I hooked it up to a random screw driver, and it didn't work. Then I tried a different one, and it worked. Maybe because it was a golden screw, rather a sliver finish look.

Nice tidy solution, used for many years and transfer from car to car, works with uniden detectors too. I guess itโll work with any rj11 connected device.

I have this hardwired to my Beltronics GT360 and Blendmount. When running the line up through the A pillar and headliner in my 911, leaves just a bit of extra length which I can tuck in behind the mirror. A must have.

Doesn't state it on the listing but it DOES WORK with the 9500ix. I have it in 3 vehicles and just move the detector accordingly with the visor-clip. Hope this helps!

Fast shipping and the direct wire kits functioned perfectly. I will be placing more orders in the future.
