Alumilite Amazing Casting Resin, 16-Ounce(8 Ounce each)

Have tended to only buy this brand due to my favorite crafters on YouTube using it. Easy to use. Works well for me.

The product works as expected. Love how quickly it sets up!

Really great stuff, easy to mix, hardens in 15 to 30 minutes, pops out of mold easily. The only thing I’d make you aware of: it says don’t get the chemicals on your hands but that’s true even after it hardens. I’m using it to make little model trains and when I cut it there’s little bits and powder; it doesn’t hurt if it gets on your hands but it gives you an annoying burning sensation that you can’t wash off and lasts a day or 2. So to avoid this, A) just wear gloves when handling it after it hardens and B) consider spray painting it after it’s dried, with a primer. This has worked great for me in creating an extra barrier between it and my skin and as long as that’s on it you can handle it bare handed (until you cut or send it). And you’re going to have to paint whatever it is you’re making anyway. So it’s a great deal, the absolute minimum of inconvenience (what I stated above), eventually becomes very solid and for what I’m making, I will get dozens and dozens of castings. If I had to buy all the trains I’m making it would cost me $100’s, possibly a $1000. Thank you for a great product!!

Your castings are ready within 10 to 15 minutes. I strongly suggest using gloves when working with this product. Difficult to get off of your hands

Easy to use and sets up quickly. This is the third time I ordered this product. I like the product. The reason I am giving a 4 star because the box it comes in was open and both bottles were out of box, one of the bottles lid was off. Thankfully the seal was not punctured. I was going to return it but decided to keep it.

I am fairly new to casting resin; watch a lot of videos on crafting and came across IOD molds-- can use clay or resin. First resin I tried was this same brand but was epoxy resin, which dries clear but takes a day or two to cure. This product ( Amazing Casting Resin) is what I use the most, because it cures in 10 minutes and I'm ready to use them. I rated it 4 stars on beginners and ease of use just because there is a small learning curve, but after the first or second casting you will get the hang of it. It dries nice and hard, but if you want to use on a curved surface it is a little pliable as soon as you unmold it ( feels warm at first, then cools.. once cool you can't bend or manipulate it. It's easily paintable with acrylics, chalk paint, etc. If you use acrylics you may want to seal it first, they seem to go on like a glaze almost on the first coat. Biggest things to know about this product are: 1. You mix the two components together 1:1 equally and stir immediately for time recommended. If you don't get equal amounts then it will not set up right. 2. There is a very short pour time; you only have about 2 minutes or so after you mix before it starts to set up. The product heats up as it sets up, so if you feel it getting warm while you are pouring, know that you are about out of time. 3. Because of #2, you want to work in small amounts and only mix what you can use within that small time frame. I always keep an another mold handy to pour any extra in so I don't waste it. Overall is a great product, just a little pricey so you have to be mindful and not waste it. Happy Crafting!!

Now I can make molds in a matter of minutes as opposed as to having to wait 24 hours for the resin to cure. Works really good~!

great casting product with a beautiful finish.....but unlike other resins from Alumilite, it takes more time to harden than I expected. I use a scale to get exact 1:1 ratio and it does not completely harden in 10 minutes as directed......I have to leave the casting in the mold for 30 before pulling it out as the resin after 10 minute is still too flexible and distorts out of shape.

Es la segunda vez que compro este producto y en esta ocasión se tiró un poco de la resina "B", afortunadamente no demasiado. Es sencillo de usar y endurece muy rápido, solo es cuestión de medir bien la resina. El resultado es bastante bueno.
