Bought this as a prop for a gaming weekend, and I was amazed at the quality for the price. Quite a weighty item, and got a lot of great comments. Not yet used as a compass, but appears to work fine.

I loved everything about this product apart from the leather part of the closing system. It is a bit flimsy but I am sure is fine. Apart from that it is a great product. It is also great value for money.

I bought these as a last minute "stocking stuffer," for my two boys. We are all going our separate ways next summer. My oldest to his own apartment, my youngest to college, and me to a smaller home. We've been the three amigos their whole childhood, and I wanted to give them this compass to tell them that, no matter where each of us ends up, we can always find our way home. Home is wherever we are together. The compasses arrived five minutes ago, and I'm literally a little emotional. I hadn't expected this level of quality. They are absolutely beautiful, and genuinely look as if they are antique. They are heavy, and the pouch is simply beautiful. My only caution is for people to be careful unbuckling the little strap the first few times. It will need to stretch in order to be able to be unbuckled. (It could be due to the cold temperatures they just arrived in, too.) Just let it work a little until it stretches enough to allow the little pin to slip out of the hole, and you're good. I wouldn't force it, though. I'm so grateful these arrived, and will be quality enough to help me make the statement to my boys that I really want to make. Thank you so much!

A very well received birthday gift, constantly played with. Even took it in for show and tell!! Encourages adventure and imagination as well as teaching compass reading skills. Great value for money.
