I've only recently in the past few years gotten really into Judy Garland. I've seen pretty much all of her movies and every single episode of her TV show. What amazing talent she had!I was on an endless search for a CD that would have the best Judy Garland songs on them, but kept coming up short. Most CD's only have the obvious hits on them, some only have one's I don't really care for, and others have only a few different songs with the same material as the others on them.Then I stumbled upon this lovely collection that has her great hits and then some for only twelve bucks! After a quick glance at the track list I bought this without hesitation. Everything you could ever want is on this collection. 'Get Happy' 'After You've Gone' 'Friendship' 'I Got Rhythm', just to name a few of my favorites that I couldn't find on most collections.The sound quality is perfect. Someone mentioned too much static in the songs which I haven't noticed at all. It sounds pretty clear to me. For the price I would highly recommend this collection to hardcore Judy fans as well as people who are just starting to get into her music. Buy it! You won't regret it...how could you for twelve bucks?!

This album is a great buy for the listener who wants every single Garland song he/she can find. I am in that category. This soaring, beautifully lyric voice should not be consumed by today's ugly hard noise called "music."I do not like all the songs, and I wish that Garland were alive today to present in more modern songs. However, part of the charm of this album is the early songs she sang, a couple from early "Andy Hardy" films. This CD gives the rare opportunity to differentiate between early and later Garland. Every song is worth a listen.I think that Judy Garland had the greatest voice of the 20th century. Her timing, her emotion, her lyrical interpretations, her incredible range, are almost other-wordly. I have a biography about Judy that said she could run through a song once with a composer or accompanist and "get it" right away. It's obvious.She made "Rainbow" world-wide and eternally famous. For that, she will never be forgotten, but there are many other songs on this CD for which she also deserves immortal remembrance.I had no problems whatsoever with the sound track.

This is not the very best, but a very nice sample of Judy's work. If you want a really great sample of her work I would get: Classic Judy Garland 1955-1965 and or Judy Garland the DECCA years". Both of these are really great, but this one is good too. Sometimes they want to include a bunch of her TV show stuff and it is OK, but not as much our cup of tea. The only reason I am giving this 4 of 5 stars is because some of the selections are no as good quality wise and the other 2 box sets that I named. Once again please keep in mind that this is just my opinion and I am not an expert. Just a fan.

this is the history of Miss Judy Garland in song. it's 5 discs of pure magic! the music covers all of her movies - from Wizard of Oz to A Star is Born - it's all here - with Mickey Rooney, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Virginia O'Brien, even a couple with Bing Crosby and Dick Haymes. You can hear her voice change thru the years - I've been a fan of this woman for most of my life and this is a welcome addition to my Garland collection.

I love Judy Garland. This may be overwhelming for some because there are so many songs on several CD's. If you only want to hear particular songs you may be switching out CD's to hear the song you are looking for.

Judy's voice is really terrific but in a lot of the songs there is a lot of static. I mean if this was supposed to a celebratory album for Miss Garland, then the songs should have been re-mastered. Also I thought I would have listened to some rare songs of Judy's ,but most of these songs on free download all over the internet. Save your money and go to a free mp3 downloader or mp3 YouTube converter because in all honesty who want to spend money on stuff that's already free.

What can I say..It's Judy.... some songs are a little tinny sounding but how long ago were they recorded, you can just do so much. Over all I love having it all in one spot.

A large percentage of the songs are great to listen to. Judy Garland is undoubtedly the best singer in the past century. There are a few songs which were recorded when she was very young, and the youthfulness of her voice is apparent. I do prefer to hear songs she recorded when she was over 25 years of age.

Enjoyed all songs. Good cd. Came early. Would recommend the seller

Delivery was fast, the box containing the discs was cracked tho. Sound could be better but for that price it’s really easy and worth to have a piece of history
