After many hours of research, decided to go with the YoLink product line. Purchased the hub, water sensors, water valve controller, couple of the outlet controls, motion sensor, and this door sensor which we put on our garage door. Eliminates the question 5 minutes after leaving home, did we close the garage door?. I can look on the app which tells me if the door is opened or closed. Forget to look at the app, no problem you can set an alert for the system to text your phone after the door has been opened for any specified amount of time. Completely wireless. Just scan the QR code on the product and it connects wireless to the hub. Attached one side to the garage door frame and the other to the door itself, when the two are apart, the door signals as open. The Yolink app is very easy to use, controls everything on the system with a lot of different options. The system sends alerts to your phone, via email or text message. The best part, the app is FREE, no subscription costs. Adding equipment is a breeze, just scan the QR code on the device and it connects wireless to the hub.

We've just installed our new Yolink system and these door sensors along with our othér Yolink devices are super easy to use! The 3M tape makes mounting really easy and it is super strong. We've not had any issues with them not staying where I've installed them. The sensors are very responsive to the doors and windows being opened and closed. They are very compatible with our siren, key fob and he app. They are loud enough to be heard but with them being connected to the app you can see which device is going off which is helpful in our case because we have a 2 story house. You're gonna love Yolink!!

I appreciate these door sensors because they seamlessly integrate with a hub and just work. For reference I have 16 as Door Sensors and 20 as Window Sensors as well as 1 I rigged for use on a baby gate for a total of 37 Door/Window Sensors Yolinks door sensors, like any technology, come with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. Here’s a breakdown: Pros: Security Enhancement: They provide an additional layer of security by alerting you when doors are opened or closed, deterring intruders or notifying you of potential threats. Affordability: Compared to systems like Vivint or ADT, which have highly priced devices, Yolinks sensors are more manageable, especially when purchased in multipacks. Convenience: They integrate with smart home systems, allowing remote monitoring via smartphone apps or other devices. You're not tied to a specific security system; cancellation doesn’t render the sensors unusable. Automation: Integration with smart home systems enables automation, such as triggering lights or cameras when a door sensor is activated. Ease of Installation: Designed for easy DIY installation, saving money on professional fees. Battery Operated: Long-lasting battery power ensures functionality even during power outages. Cons: Hub Speaker Limitations: While I appreciate they work with a hub, multiple hubs are needed for full-home coverage, especially for alerting open doors like those leading to a pool. It would be beneficial if notifications could be sent through Alexa directly without setting up routines, akin to how the LG Washtower notifies via Alexa. Initial Cost: There can be a significant upfront cost to purchase and set up a network of door sensors, especially for comprehensive coverage in large homes. Compatibility Challenges: Ensuring compatibility with existing smart home systems or security setups can be challenging, potentially requiring additional equipment or adapters. They may not integrate well with other alarm systems. Color: They only come in white. I ended up spray painting mine since all of my doors and windows are black.

I really like the door sensors. They are easy to set up (if your phone can read the QR Code), and the notifications in the YoLink app work great on my iPhone and Apple Watch. You can label the doors (and all sensors) so that you know which one has been opened, is still open, or gets closed. You can even go back and see the history of every alarm (every time the door opened and closed). Pretty sweet! I have several "Homes" set up in the app, so that I can track multiple doors on several buildings, each on a different YoLink hubs. That all works very well. You can even get an email notification if you wish. However, of the dozen or so devices I have from YoLink, I ran into a problem on one door sensor, where my iPhone could not read the QR code on the device, for it was faint, which is a requirement. My work around was to snap a picture of the QR code with my camera, send it to a printer, darken it down, and then scan with my phone. This was a long way around to get the QR code, but it worked. I ran into one other issue where the door sensor fell off the door / wall, but I just got some glue and it worked just fine. Overall I would and will purchase again.

Easy to install. Work great. Just what I was looking for.

I don’t write reviews typically but as a small business owner entry share this so it can help others This is the best product out there that checks all the boxes. I researched several different options and all of them only solve partial problem. We needed a sensor that will track freezer and cooler doors but not just chime as they are not audible. We needed a loud alarm. So this product offers both, but here’s the kicker other products offer an alarm but it’s an alarm every time you open/close and that could be annoying to customers as we open close several times a day. But this product offers the flexibility to schedule the alarm only if my doors are left open for certain amount of time and just chime if it’s an open/close. And it sends an alert on the app. Running an Icecream store where closing crew left freezer door open overnight and we had sleep less nights. With this product we now have peace of mind

What a great product. I have the sensors on my refridgerator and freezer doors because the doors don't always close properly. Bought extra sensors to give to my kids so they start having fun and reliability with Yolink products.

Like all YoLink products it's very high quality. Works great to detect an open door or window. In my case I used it to remind me if I left the shed door open or if someone opens it in the middle of the night. Range is fantastic. Way better than wifi - will work even from a block away or more. The only thing I don't like about this (and many other YoLink products) is that they attach via double sided tape. Yes that's easy but in my case the magnet part eventually fell off the wood door. Why can't they provide screw holes? Such a small design decision that would have been really helpful. Not enough for me not to recommend it but really I expected to be able to screw these on if I wanted.

Fast response, good range and good tolerance on the magnet position. I wanted 4 sensors which they do on the Yolink Website, but not Amazon. As a UK user the postage from the USA would have been expensive, so ended up buying 3 + 1.
