NOT MADE IN AMERICA! and so far no noticable difference
My household members all have allergies. Air purifiers are no new thing to us. Some are stupid loud and bulky, expensive. Doing research I came across this brand. Read the reviews, looked things over, decided to order. Shipping was very fast. Product was nicely packaged and new. Instruction book was easy to read. I like the night light setting and the 3 different settings so if you don't want a light you don't have to have one.I have had mine plugged in for 2 days and have not noticed any difference. I do not have a large house but I figure I will give it a week before I really say difference or not.WHAT I REALLY DO NOT LIKE IS THE PRINT ON THE SIDE OF THE BOX THAT STATES "MADE IN CHINA"! I really wish I had researched that and instead had found an product made in America.So if origin is important to you (and it should be) make sure to read ALL the fine print.

Surprisingly it works!
First off, I rarely, if ever, believe Amazon reviews and always research a product elsewhere.I live in the Midwest, so our spring - fall weather can get hot and VERY humid. The basement is my office and even with a dehumidifier, still smells musty, so I had little hope for this product.I plugged it in and went back down the next day - I WAS SHOCKED! The basement smelled 'clean'! No more musty basement smell! Ok, so I thought, we'll see how the rest work. I put the rest in our bedrooms, office, guest room and living room. We have 2 large dogs plus husband and 2 kids have bad allergies, wet dogs and pollen starts in March/April. As of 2 months using this product, no wet dog smell and family's allergy symptoms are way less than they have been. Yes, we do leave windows open on nice days but nights are still a little too cold sometimes to leave windows open. Everyone sleeps better because sinuses are not keeping them up with trouble breathing. I have been blessed with no allergies but I do have a nose for odors, our house smells a lot 'cleaner'. I chose not to put one of these in the kitchen since this is not a product that eliminates kitchen cooking odors (sorry I don't know of anything except a range hood that will do that and most of those just put the odor back in the house because they are not vented outside.)So, all of that to say, I have been well pleased with this Air Genie, it works well for us and our house.

Great odor elimination!
When we got a new dog, I was amazed at the smell that one little guy could make! After plugging in three units on our main level, I am floored by the results! The first couple days, I noticed a funny odor, but I think that was just the units clearing the air. Now I don't smell anything, not even the dog!

I have had these for about three months now and I can say that they do work. You have to understand that you need several of these around the home in order to get the results you want. They are NOT air freshners. But you can tell the difference in your indoor air quality after about 3 weeks. They are not going to make a difference overnight. Depending on the size of the room, you may need more than one (living room, den, etc.). I have bad allergies and therse have helped me sleep and live indoors without worry of allergic reactions from dust and other irritants.I highly recommend these as they need NO maintenance, just a periodic wipe down with a dry cloth. The negative ions from these do a good job of eliminating household odors and particles in the air. They run quietly and have the controllable night light. A great buy.

Useless
Bought this for our boat - we live aboard with a cat - put one near the litter box - did absolutely nothing.Kept one in our bedroom to clear the air to help with sinus problems - useless.
