SABRENT 2X 2.5" SSD/HDD Mounting Kit

I initially wondered if I could stack 2 2.5 portable HDDs that I had shucked on one bracket, but you can’t. However, the full kit from Sabrent is solid, didn’t have to dig around for actual drive or rack screws. Each of my 5TB 2.5” Seagate drives fit nicely solo in each bracket. The included straight AND right angled SATA cables worked out well. Heck, I liked the bracket so much I ordered a 3rd to properly stick 2 SSDs on one together.

I could not be happier with this item. Everything fits perfectly, price was very fair, it includes basically any connection you need, and everything seems to be of good quality. The power pig tails are not especially long, so that might be worth considering if you need longer ones, but I can't imagine that will apply to most users.

I used this to install 2x 2.5" SSDs into the 3.5" drive bay of a Dell Optiplex 3020 SFF system. It worked perfectly. All the necessary accessories (screws, cables, power splitters, even a little magnetic screwdriver) came with the kit, so installation was a breeze. This is a high quality product, totally worth the price, and I would 100% buy again if I ever needed one for another system. There's a little space in between the drives I used so maybe it could even accommodate one or two thick (15mm) drives like the Seagate Barracuda 5TB. Not owning one of those drives to try it, I'm not 100% certain. But you could *probably* squeeze at least one of them in there. Maybe someone else who has one could confirm/deny.

Nice kit, the bracket was slightly narrower than the other kits I bought, which turned out handy for mounting in a spot the others were too wide for. If you need this, worth the single unit price.

I am very pleased with this Sabrent dual 2.5in drive to 3.5in bay adapter kit. I use these adapters fairly often in my IT practice as I am still upgrading mechanical hard drives to SSDs. These make replacing a 3.5in hard drive with one or two SSD's easy, quick and secure. This adapter kit will mount by either the side or bottom holes when replacing a 3.5in drive and is more versatile than an other one I was using (at about the same price!). This also has the capability to put 2 drives into one 3.5in bay which is good for RAID when upgrading a smaller form-factor system. The tray comes with all the screws needed to mount two 2.5in drives and the adapter in a 3.5in bay. But wait, there's more: in the box are also 2 short SATA III cables and a SATA power splitter. The splitter is particularly handy in my experience to simplify power wiring. The tray is painted black and has a smooth finish that seems well made.When I mounted 2 Samsung 850 EVO drives the side cutouts made getting to the 2.5in drive screws with my screwdriver easy. It's clearly designed by someone who thought about how it is to be used. One minor complaint is these EVO drives I used did not have their connector end quite flush with the end of the tray so a right-angle connector may not fit easily. Maybe why the data cables are included? In conclusion this 2.5in to 3.5in dual drive adapter kit is great for my me and my clients. I save time and securely mount the new drives in existing bays. The clients save down time and reduce the cost of these upgrades a little. Win-Win. It should be no surprise I'm giving this economical adapter 5 stars.

I think I was one of the lucky ones that got a kit that included both the Molex-to-SATA power splitter AND the SATA 15-pin-to-SATA splitter. The bracket went together easily with my two new SATA SSDs. I took the advice of others and flipped the top SSD so that the connectors weren't stacked so closely. My kit had one SATA data cable with one right-angled end. I got creative with those to make sure they all fit without cramping each other. I will say that even the SATA 15-pin splitter has the molded plastic head, so use at your own risk, depending on where you stand with the hazard-level of that kind of construction. I didn't need it, but it looks well made. I would use it, just sayin'. I like the inclusion of all of the screws required, plus a few extra in case you lose one in the carpet. C'mon, you know you've done it. I'm already contemplating another one of these for another build...

The kit contained everything I needed to install a secondary 1tb SSD drive in my desktop and has an extra slot should I choose to add another. I had zero issues with any of the components. Everything worked as it should.

Ho acquistato il kit Sabrent BK-HDCC per aggiornare un vecchio PC desktop che non aveva slot nativi da 2,5 pollici, e devo dire che la qualità Sabrent non si smentisce mai. Non è un semplice pezzo di metallo, ma una soluzione completa pensata per chi non vuole sorprese durante il montaggio. Qualità Costruttiva e Montaggio: La staffa è realizzata in metallo robusto, ben rifinito e senza bordi taglienti, il che evita graffi accidentali alle dita o ai cavi all'interno del case. La particolarità di questo modello è la capacità di ospitare due SSD o HDD da 2,5" occupando un singolo slot da 3,5". Gli incastri sono precisi e le viti fornite nel pacchetto si avvitano perfettamente senza forzare. Cavi Inclusi (Il vero valore aggiunto): Spesso questi kit arrivano "nudi", costringendoti a cercare cavi SATA in giro. Qui troverai: 2 Cavi dati SATA (con clip di bloccaggio, ottimi per evitare distacchi accidentali). 1 Cavo sdoppiatore di alimentazione Molex a 2 SATA. 1 Cavo sdoppiatore di alimentazione SATA a 2 SATA. Questa varietà è fondamentale perché ti permette di collegare i nuovi dischi indipendentemente dal tipo di alimentatore che hai (vecchio o moderno). Prestazioni e Dissipazione: Una volta montato, il kit tiene i dischi ben fermi, riducendo al minimo le vibrazioni (particolarmente utile se usate HDD meccanici da 2,5"). Essendo in metallo, aiuta anche leggermente nella dissipazione passiva del calore, mantenendo gli SSD a temperature ottime anche sotto carico. Pro: Materiali solidi (metallo, non plastica). Kit viti completo per fissare sia i dischi alla staffa che la staffa al case. Include tutti i cavi necessari per due unità. Ottimizza lo spazio nei case più datati o compatti. Contro: Nessuno riscontrato, fa esattamente quello che promette con una qualità superiore alla media dei prodotti "bulk". In sintesi: Se dovete montare uno o due SSD in un computer fisso, non cercate oltre. Il risparmio di tempo (e stress) garantito dall'avere tutti i cavi pronti nella confezione giustifica ampiamente il prezzo. Un accessorio indispensabile per ogni appassionato di hardware. I installed a new SSD in my desktop computer. If that is what you want to do, you won't find anything better than this. It is a complete kit. The material of the casing is sturdy with smooth edges and the cables, screwdriver and screws are as required. Highly recommended.
