OOPS it turned itself on in my carry-on pouch.
I am happy with the SoundMate's performance. I only wish it were not so easy to turn it on inadvertently when storing it. A recessed control wheel would be better.

These units worked fine so I thought I would order my own
I have been using the receivers that the church had on hand. These units worked fine so I thought I would order my own. My unit has a lot of static unlike the ones supplied by the church. I had heard somewhere that the antenna was in the earphones so I ordered the earphones with no improvement in sound quality. Very disappointed in my unit. I will be sending mine back and just using the church's units.

Very good sound.
The Telex SoundMate pairs easily with our system and produces good sound. We've had no complaints from the users. Batteries seem t last quite well in it.
