Nanoskin HD CUT Heavy Duty Rubbing Compound 16 Oz. - For Auto Body Shop, Car Wash, Car Detailing & Buffing | Removes Heavy Sand Scratches and Oxidation from Painted Clear Coat and Gel Coat Surfaces

Used this on the left side section of the hood of my 2004 Sierra. From left fender edge out to body line, approx 1/4 of hood width , front to back. I did this to show the difference of the polished left side compared to the untouched rest of the hood. I bought the truck new and it has never been compounded or polished. I first tried using the FIRST CUT and it wasn't getting off the heavy weathering, water stains, overspray, and other various defects which built up over the past 13 years. Hoods take the Brunt of paint weathering but this HD cut took care of it with ease. Work very nicely and I did Add Water a few times to keep it moist. You can see the difference and how clear the section on the drivers side edge to the body line is compared to the rest of the hood. The reflection is super shiny and Crystal Clear. I used this HD compound and then the COMPOLISH afterward and that is it. I used a 3M 9 inch single sided compound pad with the HD and same but polishing pad with the COMPOLISH. I have a Craftsman 7-inch buffer and I used it on speeds 2 & 3.

This is truly a heavy-duty compound and will remove any scratch short of one that has exposed bare metal. That being said, it leaves scratches of its own, so why the description says it prepares surfaces for wax or glaze is a mystery. You will definitely need a finer compound to remove the swirl marks this leaves behind. I bought this in 2015 and have used it not only to remove scratches from paint but also from plastic. I am surprised that there have only been a handful of reviews since I purchased this and so I thought I would leave one. It's a very good, heavy-duty, fast-cutting compound; I recommend it and would buy it again.

Works good if used properly. Spread with very slow speed, continue to polish. Bought both heavy compound and fine polish. I had a lot of work to do on a budget. I would purchase again for daily budget projects.

It delivered in a bad way with led is loose and spill inside the ziplock yes I could returned it but unfortunately I need it

Wasn't sure what to expect from this product when I purchased it seeing as there wasn't any information to be taken from other reviews to help guide my decision. But I'm definitely glad that I took a chance and made this purchase. By no means is it the best in any way shape or form, but for the price it does a darn good job and does even better once you figure out a pad that works good with it. Shipped on time and arrived with no issues. I would definitely purchase this product again

If this is Heavy duty I think they could use a extra heavy duty version. My boat's gel coat came out great. Less is more when getting fast results. It really left a very good gloss finish, not really any need for a finer compound after this one. BUT with the boat i did end up using 1000 and then 1500 wet sand on one side to get the super heavy oxidation and scratches off first, but on my 20 year old RV this alone did the trick for the sides and two passes were needed for the front.

This stuff works great & the price was fair enough, I bought 3 different bottles , I started with the HD cut, then the First cut, Then the compolish. I resurfaced a pair of automotive Headlights & finished them with the nanoskin & the results were excellent
