Helped a skinny guy gain mass
I have been using this product for 4 years after trying many other weight gainers/protein supplements and seeing very little weight gain. I am very skeptical of most products in the market, so I want to share my experience with this product. I am 27 years old, 6'3" and my body weight without exercise and lifting is 154 pounds. My metabolism is through the roof and I have a hard time putting on weight no matter how much I lift or eat. I tried a few different products to supplement working out (I mostly lift high weight, low to medium reps) and never had much success. With heavy lifting I could get to 168 pounds or so but could never break past that point. After trying Russian Bear 4 years ago, I noticed that I was gaining weight pretty quickly without changing my workouts. I bought a second jug and by the end of it I had put on another few pounds. Not only that, but I was feeling stronger, lifting more, and even eating more. I would take 2 scoops with about 24 ounces of whole milk after every workout, 1 scoop with 14 ounces of whole milk every morning, and half a scoop with 8 ounces of whole milk before bed (important to not go to bed on an empty stomach). Using this routine, I haven't found a legal product that can put more weight on me. I don't lift or take Russian Bear from April-October, and my weight ALWAYS goes back to 154 pounds by November when I begin lifting again. With the help of Russian Bear, I am able to go from 154 up to 182 pounds in a 4 month lifting cycle. Before Russian Bear I couldn't rise above 168 no matter how hard I worked at at, now I can make it 14 pounds above that mark over the same time frame. It should be noted that my fat % stays consistently around 6%, so I do not gain fat while taking the product. Russian Bear gives my muscles the extra fuel they need to build mass, without putting fat on me. Many people make the point that you should just eat more and bigger meals in combination with weight lifting if you want to gain healthy weight. I agree with this, but I cannot control my hunger levels. There is only so much I can eat in a day without making myself sick. This shake goes down easy after a meal, and allows me to maximize my caloric intake, something I really need with my high metabolism. I eat like I always have, and the shakes are the bonus that gets me over the hump. I recommended this product to 2 friends who trusted my advice, both had success and liked the taste/consistency of the product. I will continue to recommend and use this product as long as it is available. I have only had Russian Bear in chocolate, I like it so well I don't have any interest in trying another flavor. * The only downside to this product is the recommended serving size is absurd, so the advertised calories per serving are very skewed. I have noticed no gain in fat from using Russian Bear, but my metabolism is not normal. An average weighted or heavier person might want to avoid this product altogether, or just take a scoop after a heavy workout. Cytogainer is another great protein supplement, with low fat intended for building lean muscle mass, individuals that gain fat easily should look in that direction. *

IMPRESSIVE :)
To avaoid going through a gallon of milk a day...I just fill a large glass with whole milk, add one scoop of Russian Bear (scooper provided with product) mix well and drink...i cant say for sure but I feel at that rate one shake equals 1000 calories :)...I have been struggling with gaining weight and must say that if I drink atleast two shakes a day ( one for breakfast and one at night) i am able to put on some pounds. It seems to increase my appetite as well, im not sure why but it does that to me. Mixing too much product without enough milk will make it very sweet but if you mix five scoops with a whole gallon of whole milk as the directions say it tasted just like Chocolate Milk! It is not grainy and you cannot taste any vitamins:) Even better!! I love the taste and the fact that it makes me feel full and DOES make me gain weight is awesome!! not to mention the price is remarkable :):) I just wanted ALOT of calories and Russian Bear offers that easily :)Try some today!

The math and what it means for you
I purchased this product last week and received it in 3 days ( even before the earliest shipping estimate day given). Yes it says "5000 calories in one serving" but if taken with a gallon of milk. Now, for 90% of the people who take this, this isn't going to happen. I wrote this review to clear up the misconceptions about the calories some users post and will update my weight gain in 2 week intervals. No results after the first use which I drank 2 scoops with milk in a day. I will continue to use 2-3 scoops daily while doing heavy Resistance training 3-4 times a week. I am 6'0 feet tall and only 132 pounds. VERY SKINNY WITH A FAST METABOLISM !! So, the five scoops recommended (if taken with water only) is about 520 calories in a scoop. The scoop is the smallest I've seen relative to how much calories is in it compared to other supplement products (and I've tried countless ones). You are getting a great deal of calories for how much a scoop is. If you take it with milk (as I do and recommend for better taste and an increase of about 300 calories if used with 16oz), you get a total of about 850-900 calories in one drink filled in a bottle shaker with 16oz used. THAT IS GREAT! Again, one scoop = 520 calories. With milk it is 850-900 calories. The taste is the BEST I've ever tasted in a protein shake! The missing sugar content is the only concern I have with this product because it is very sweet and is not listed. Doesn't taste like a protein shake, but one you would get at a smoothie place! No weird feelings as some users reported but that's on an individual basis. So far so good and will report actual results over two weeks. Bought this to gain weight fast after many products have failed with my metabolism. Hope it works!! UPDATE 5/5/13: Well, first jug down over the course of 2 weeks using 2 scoops a day. Went from 132 to 136! One thing I would add to my original review is that it does mix very easy, I forgot to mention that. Over the next 2 weeks I will upgrade to 3 scoops a day and see how that goes. Will update in 2 weeks!! So far so good!

Good stuff and tastes really good.
Been taking this stuff for about 2 months now. i started at 185 lbs and now currently 202 lbs. I've put on nearly 20 lbs (Not all muscle but good healthy looking weight). Combined with a good high calorie/protein/carb diet and heavy lifting. recommend taking one scoop with whole milk and other additions of your choice immediately after a workout on training days. on rest days i would take it first thing in the morning. This product is awesome however it is not for those who stray away from sugars or want an 8 pack set of abs. the sugar content is very high. i would never take more than one scoop at a time. I would also limit my sugar intake from foods and drinks throughout the day after consuming a shake. This weight gainer tastes very good with milk, but i wouldn't take with water..trust me on that. my shake: 1 scoop Russian bear 5000 2 table spoons of peanut butter 3/4 cup butter pecan ice cream 4 ice cubes 2 cups whole milk 1 serving of creatine powder form

scam
I decided to try Russian Bear Protein after hearing a lot of mixed opinions, but honestly, it was a big letdown. The taste is terrible — overly sweet and chalky at the same time. It doesn’t mix well, no matter how much you shake or blend it, and it leaves clumps in the shaker. After using it for a few weeks, I didn’t notice any improvement in muscle gain or recovery. In fact, it upset my stomach almost every time I took it. The label claims it has a ton of calories and protein, but it feels like most of it is just sugar and fillers. Definitely not worth the price. There are much better and cleaner protein options out there. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone serious about fitness or nutrition.

Get this Weight gainer!! It works!!! See changes in a week or less!!
Hey I Love this product. I mix this with Optimum Nutrition serious mass, and Creatine. I also mix in ensure plus to pack on the calories. You will see results fast. I can't really say if it just works well alone because I always mix mine with other weight gainer and supplements. I Believe it works I have put on 2 pounds of muscle in just two days. I only use one scoop when I think you have to use 3 scoops for a full serving. This goes to me also mixing it again with other weight gainer. If your trying to gain mass, weight, muscles this is the way to go. It has the most calories that I seen so far in a weight gainer. It mixes very easily and the taste is great. I use an oster blender to blend my protein shakes. blends it perfectly. Im 6'1, 22, and 180 I want to get to 200 to 220. I will continue using this with other weight gainer and supplements while working out to get there. Just try it, you won't be disappointed.

Super Gainer... As long as you put in the work!!!
I have taken this because I wanted better gains in the gym. I have been through 4 cycles with the strawberry mix. I would recommend to anyone that is trying to gain weight quickly. Due to the sugar intake I would watch your diet while on it and afterwards. First observation, to see the optimal results I highly recommend taking this with whole milk and ONLY WHOLE MILK. Not Soy milk or Almond milk. Second, each Bottle is a 21-day program broken up into 1 gal of milk per week. If you have issue with lactose I would recommend taking lactaid pills. Third, for those that aren't seeing much gain I would say you aren't earning it. I tell those that I train in the gym you have to earn those calories you are taking in. If you take in 5000 extra calories and aren't willing to add any physical exertion to your daily/weekly routine, then you won’t see the gains you may be expecting. In 2 session I went from 189 lbs. to 205 lbs. with 8% body fat. I also made gains in all major lifting categories as well. But I put my time in the gym and on treadmill. As with anything cycle through it, never take this for more than 2 bottles without giving your body a break
