Great hat, its not just for men. I am a woman and I love it. Great brim size to keep the sun off and it has worn in really well. Super durable and lightweight. Great style and shape.

The reviewers are right when they say order ONE FULL SIZE DOWN. I did, and it fits fairly well. A little loose, but I would consider it a large in any other sizing area. This is my beat-up hat. I plan to leave it in my car trunk and mistreat the hell out of it. I didn't get it to look pretty, and it doesn't really look too pretty. But the picture tells me that. Does that really strike you as a fashionable hat? No. It's a beater for camping, hiking and heavy outdoor sun protection. It's for hiking, camping, dropping on the ground, swatting mosquitoes and flies. I might leave it next to the camp fire when I go to bed. I won't care. I might step on in or roll over on it in the tent. I won't care. I might burn it a little while roasting marshmellows. I won't care. I shape it to give it a cowboy look, but I don't expect it to stay that way. It will get weird, and I will re-shape it, and I will wear this hat into the ground, and it will be filthy and crusty by the time I do. Someone talked about washing it... what the heck? I don't think you wash a hat like this. I might, once or twice, but really? Why waste the water and detergent? Maybe I'll wet it down in a river when I'm hot, but WASH IT?! This is a hat to abuse, and I love it for that. It already looks semi-abused when it arrives, and the picture looks like a semi-abused hat. Fairly cheap, too, so I got what I wanted. Very happy! If you want a "nice" hat, buy a different hat. If you want some hat you can abuse with rigorous outdoor activity, this is the hat for you.

It's a pretty good hat. I like the style even though it's a little conservative. The wire in the brim is very annoying as it goes out of shape very easily. Also, it became sweat stained too quickly, which seams to have interacted with the dye and changed its colour slightly. The hat would benefit from a concealable chin strap.

Hat arrived today, in good condition despite only being packed in a plastic bag making with other items in the box. I am totally pleased. Looks good and seems to be well made. The wire in brim makes shaping easy.stitchung, materials are really good, especially at this price point. As others have noted, it does run large. I almost always have issues with hats being too tight for my big, fat, head. I ordered the XL and it was actually slightly on the loose side. A thin strip of foam inside the head band and it fits perfectly. An A+ in my book.

Good hat and well made. It looks good by itself, but looks too big on my head. I was looking for one that wouldn’t look so big on me, so maybe next time. I got the fit right, but just oversized.

I bought this hat to replace the fishing type hat that I would wear while working in the sun. I didn't like the floppy brim of my old hat and wanted something a bit stiffer. How it looked was not really a concern. Just sun protection for health and for comfort at work. I read some older reviews of this hat that said it came with hat sizing foam tape. It does not anymore. So I would consider ordering some with the hat. Unless you get really lucky and it just fits, you will probably need some. Anyway, when I got this hat sized properly with the tape, It fits nicely, the brim is nice and stiff, or at least stiffer than an old fishing hat, and it's shapeable. The real bonus is that this hat looks really good too. I used to take my old hat off as soon as I was done working. I'll probably just wear this one out in public.

I really like this hat! I had measured my head with a tape, and from middle of my forehead to back of the head at 23.5 inches exactly. I ordered XL because it fell between Large & XL....it arrived in a box, instead of plastic wrap (which some complained about in other reviews), so it wasn't crushed. It was just a smidge loose on my head, but adding the foam-tape that came with it, it fit perfectly! I cut the tape into 4 pieces, and applied into 4 corners 'under' the inner flap...where there was more room if needed! It fit well! The hat is made well, and the stitching is well done...no problems. The wire inside the outer brim is easily maneuverable and stays in place --- I wanted an all-around hat, and not a cowboy hat or stiff felt hat...this hat is a cross between a canvas fedora and Australian outback hat...a nice mix of the two...it's a bit different, and I've been complimented on it already! Personally, I think if someone is looking for a nice, all-around, distinctive, and comfortable hat, this will do nicely....my opinion of course, but I'm quite happy with it...glad I got it!
