Product is great, customer service is TOP TIER!
We purchased our Chef IQ during the pandemic (2021), after our barely 1.5 year old Instant Pot we'd received as a wedding gift died--we were just barely out of warranty and they had zero interest in helping. We have used it a minimum of once a week ever since. It's easy to use, size is great, cleans up well, cooks perfectly, and we've used it on multiple settings - high and low pressure, all 3 release settings, slow cooker, sear/saute, and recently the sous vide mode. I've done everything from a whole chicken, soups and chilis, pulled pork, sous vide steak, and more. We've been in need of a new inside liner pot of awhile, and I kept watching their website and Amazon for replacement ones to become available, but I kept missing them so this past October (2025) I decided to email their customer service and ask when they would be in stock. Ours was so scratched at this point that it was unsafe to use and we needed a replacement, or needed to replace the entire machine. Ana at Chef IQ support asked me for a couple of photos, and just sent us a whole new pot! I was blown away, and it arrived quickly. Just after the new year, the whole thing just...stopped working. So here I am emailing Ana, again, asking her how to fix it or if there's a part I can buy (I'm decently handy). She asked me for a brief video of it plugged into the same outlet as another appliance that worked, to show it was non functional. I just received a notice that I have A WHOLE NEW APPLIANCE on its way! I'm stunned. I don't remember the last time I've had any type of customer service support actually fully support their customers to this level, especially in this world of planned obsolescence of appliances and devices. Thank you Ana, and thank you Chef IQ! You have a customer for life. Husband's birthday's coming up and he's been eyeing your thermometers...

Love this pressure cooker!
I love this pressure cooker; everything I’ve cooked in it so far has come out perfectly, tender & tasty! It guides you step by step to insure safety. It heats up rapidly & gets to pressure quickly. It is so whisper quiet, I can hardly hear it operating except for a momentary whoosh when the pressure plug pops up. I love that I can connect with it on my phone & see exactly where it’s at in the cooking process. It has a built in scale which is nice for knowing the quantity of food you put in. I love the auto venting so I don’t have to risk burning myself from the hot steam. It gives a nice little 10 second warning before it releases. It’s beautifully built with quality materials & is easy to clean & maintain. I love the steamer rack & especially the steamer basket for vegetables. For a family, it would be nice if it came in a 8 qt size, but it’s mainly just me & my husband, so the 6 qt size is fine.

This is like having a personal chef!!!
I've been cooking dinner for more than 50 years. I'm at the age where I don't like to try new recipes because it's too much mental strain on me to find a recipe, read through it, then follow it step by step. I never thought I'd say this, but it's too much work mentally, and it's too much physical strain to stand at a stove, so I stick to simple cooking at my age. Then I needed a new pressure cooker, came to Amazon to find one and came across this gem. It looked easy enough for me to understand, it was digital, and the reviews were great, so I took a chance and paid twice the amount I would have paid for a regular stove top pressure cooker pan that only is used to pressure cook. I'm glad I took the chance!!! This Chef iQ is like having your own personal chef standing next to you telling you step by step how to make amazing meals! It has made cooking fun and easy again! The app has many different recipes, including beef and barley soup which I have been wanting to make for years but have no desire to stand at a stove cooking...now I can have my Chef iQ tell me step by step what to add, and the best part is thr scale. It weighs the amount of water you put in, it weighs the meat (no more digging through the garbage to see if it was 2 pounds roast or a 3 pound roast) it weighs it for you! A dinner that would have taken me hours, and dirtied many dishes and pans, is now made in one pot and it does everything for you! It took 30 minutes to pressure cook 5 pounds of roast. When it was done I pulled it apart some of them and added some BBQ sauce and we had pulled beef sandwiches, then saved the rest for dinner, again using the insta pot to steam veggies to add to the beef to make a stew. It took less than an hour to make 2 meals! Washing the unit is simple, just make sure you remove the gasket ring and wash under it, then replace it. This unit has made 2 elderly people become instant chefs! My husband can't stand for long and for years had to give up making his famous rice and beans. I came back from walking the dog to find a plate of freshly made rice and beans waiting for me, and a husband with a smile so big because he was able to cook again! This pot gave us more than easy and amazing meals, it gave us back the pride and confidence that we can once again make difficult recipes that used to require standing at the stove all day and using and washing many pans, it's given us more time together and has truly made life easier for both of us! I highly recommend this product for everyone! It would have been amazing to have this unit when I was in college, to be able to cook full meals in one pot without knowing how to cook would have been so great as a college student living in a dorm! This makes a great wedding gift, housewarming gift, college student gift, and just a great gift for everyone you love and want to make their life easier!

Total fail
I saw that many people have had problems with this item (the pressure cooker) over time, so I added a service plan on checkout. But I did expect it to work out of the box. Ha! I will say that connecting the unit to the app and updating the firmware all worked flawlessly, which is something that many products don't get right. But after that it was all downhill. I figured I'd make some rice as an initial test. I told it what I was making (brown long-grain rice, which it has explicit support for) and let it weigh the rice. Unfortunately, the scale is not very stable and the weight displayed on the unit wanders continuously. Usually by less than 10 grams, but even a gust of air seems to throw it off by more than that. But no matter - it shouldn't make much difference for plain rice. The cooker reported that's its plan was to pressure-cook the rice for 40 minutes on low, which seemed like a preposterously long time. But I figured it would know best... I also let the cooker specify and measure the amount of water to add, only to find that it requested water in ounces even though I had set the default units to metric and it weighed the rice in grams. This is kind of a big deal because in ounces mode, the scale reports no fractional ounces. An ounce is a lot! More than 28 grams, to be exact. An ounce of water one way or the other is certainly enough to botch a small batch of rice. Once the water was added and the cooking started, the cooker emitted a suspiciously continuous amount of steam and never got up to pressure. It turns out that the gasket, which comes preinstalled in the lid, had been incorrectly installed. It's my mistake for not checking the gasket! But the cooker's handling of this situation, which must be pretty common, was unimpressive. It shows the pressure as a percentage of the goal pressure while heating, and it didn't seem to find it strange that the percentage stalled at 80%. In fact, it just kept heating until all the water was boiled off, at which point it errored out. Feh. I fixed the gasket, dumped the now-singed rice and restarted the whole process. It really did pressure cook for 39+ minutes, at which point it was supposed to perform a quick pressure autorelease. But after emitting one sub-second sputter, it froze at "performing quick release." After a minute or two, I canceled the cooking program and tried to release the pressure manually. It would sputter briefly with each press of the Release button, but contrary to the manual, holding down Release did nothing. I eventually got to zero pressure one sputter at a time only to find that the product was more like rice porridge than rice. It asked for way too much water and cooked for way too long. Unusable. The pressure release issue sounds like gunk in the release valve, no? But having cooked only one pathetic batch of rice, the lid was still spotless. I'm RMAing this unit because of the pressure release problem. But it's off to a very rocky start.

OMG, OMG, OMG ❤️ "I'm obsessed with my CHEF iQ Smart Pressure Cooker! 🤩 The build quality is top-notch, and it's so easy to use. I've made everything from soups to stews, and the results are always amazing. The built-in scale is a game-changer for measuring ingredients, and the Wi-Fi connectivity lets me control it from my phone – super convenient! Customer service has been awesome too. Had a question about cooking times, and they got back to me super fast. For the price, I'd say it's totally worth it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a smart pressure cooker! Here's a sample of a delicious oxtail with rice. Simply exquisite and delicious. Thanks CHEF IQ for your support, communication and excellent costumer service. 😊

Just buy it
I’ve had this pressure cooker for about a year and it is amazing. My favorite features are: Automatic steam release. Who hasn’t been shy about releasing pressure from a cooker? The sound alone used to make me jump, even if I knew it was not going to burn me because the valve was pointed in the opposite direction. Now I just sit in the living room and listen for the appliance to release in the manner I asked it to. Ahhhhh. It does instant, intermittent and natural releases. Truly my favorite feature. Step by step instructions. Now, I don’t really need these, but it is so much fun to choose a recipe and have the app tell you what to do. Need to add a cup of water? Sure, you can add a cup of water after measuring it. But it’s so cool to see the scale tell you EXACTLY when you’ve added the right amount. I can imagine a person who has never cooked anything would love the step by step instructions even more than I do. Next, I love the app. “When will dinner be ready?” Um…. (Open app) “13 minutes and 11 seconds.” I’ll bet you can’t be that precise unless you’re using this awesome app! By the way, even if you aren’t using the pre-programmed recipes, the app still shows you what’s going on and allows you to make changes. I love being able to do almost everything in one pan. Want spaghetti? Brown the meat, sauté the vegetables, add the dry pasta and water, and it’s ready in literally a few minutes. One pot. There is no guesswork in timing. Tonight I selected sous vide, pork, pork chops, one in thick. It set the temp and time automatically and automatically selected sear when finished. This works for whatever feature and ingredient you are cooking. Sooooo many cook functions. Slow cooker, pressure cooker, sous vide, sauté, and the list goes on and on. The only feature that I wish was better is on the app. I wish there were two ways you could save recipes. Right now you can click the heart on a recipe to mark it as a favorite. I would like to see a way to add a folder for “want to try” or something similar. I look at recipes in the app and don’t know yet if they will be a favorite but definitely am interested in trying them. They all get lumped together in one folder which can be inconvenient if you use the cooker and app as much as I do. I did send a request to the company but I don’t know if it’s scheduled for an update in the future or not. I hope this helps if you’re trying to justify the investment. There is a little bit of a learning curve, but if you use a tablet or smart anything I don’t think you’ll have a problem. Bottom line? Just buy it!

Best pressure cooker there is. UPDATE: Died after 2 years 1 month use.
UPDATE: The unit lasted two years and one month. It appeared to die from electronics failure. I deleted my original review, as it was largely focused on software features of the unit and app that have since changed too much for the original review to be useful in my opinion, Well, it lasted 2 years and one month, but I honestly feel it was a better value than the most popular brand of electric pressure cookers, of which I previously had two models, neither of which lasted more than 6 months before dying. In that two years, I found it to work very well, was overall, easy to use, especially using the front controls. I will NOT review the app, because it has changed a couple times, in ways that affected usage both positively and negatively, and it is NOT necessary for the usage of this unit. The software on the cooker itself was nice, but I rarely made use of them. I did try several recipes from the app, and found them to be really good recipes, but due to a myriad of shortcomings I just wont dive into depth with, such as lack of integration with third party cooking, shopping, and nutrition apps, which all seem like no-brainers, but I never got more than lip service from the company in regards to suggestions... So, in the 26 months I used it, and I used it often, 99% of the time, it was used in manual mode. I set the heat range, time to cook, and largely did everything the old fashioned way with a recipe app or book, and as a result, I found the software in the unit and the app to be well enough designed, and appealing to those who don't want to have to change a temp or something. I mean, honestly, that's about all the software really does in manual mode. Addendum regartding what I opted for as a replacement: As my wife wanted an air fryert, I opted for the Ninja OL501 Foodi 6.5 Qt. 14-in-1 Pressure Cooker Steam Fryer with SmartLid (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0995HLCQ8/ref=dp_cr_wdg_tit_nw_mr?th=1) as it fits the bill for a good replacement for the pressure cooker, and a great way to have an air fryer in our tiny little 1920s apartment kitchen. I will review the Ninja after I have had it a little while.

Fantastic Device
This thing is worth every penny. Every once in a while it gets de-synced from the app but that is literally the only problem I have had so far. Other than that, this thing is perfect. It's designed so you have minimal dishes, every dish comes out perfect, there is tons and tons of recipes, it walks you through every step. If you're like me and enjoy cooking from time to time, but 80% of the time decide "meh, it's too much work", then you will love this thing. It even sends you notifications when it's time for the next step. 30 minutes of basically no work and 1 rinse of a dish later, and you have food for 3 days. Absolutely incredible.

AMAZING pressure cooker!!
I love this cooker!!! This pressure cooker should be called the holy grail of your kitchen!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s a great size 6 oz. Feeds my family of three I love the black matte colour. The Chef IQ app is amazing!! It’s so user friendly and has so many good recipes to folllow. For someone who doesn’t really enjoy cooking, I can rely on this cooker and chef iq recipes any time. The app connects to your pressure cooker using wifi and then tells you what to do with each next step with cooking! I know this appliance is expensive but I think it’s SOO worth it! I love that you don’t also have to pressure cook with it. You can saute or just simply cook in the pot. We barely use our oven now as we have an air fryer too. You can cook pasta, soup, chicken, beef, desserts, almost anything. The app helps you with recipes and guides you as it’s wifi based. It’s fairly easy to clean! The inside pot is a nonstick so everything slides off. If you aren’t confident in the kitchen, this a perfect to go appliance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
