We keep this at the head of the bed, and it's easily enough to light up the whole room. There's a rotary switch allowing you to choose between a number of presets for how many bulbs are lit (0 / 1 /3 / 5 off the top of my head). Since it has five independent goose necks, it's easy to adjust for a mix of uplighting and downlighting.Only downside is the base wasn't in perfect condition, some marking and dings on it. Since the base is hidden it's not a deal breaker for us, but I can imagine it annoying anyone who wanted to keep it out.

I had bought a used Studio 3BTM-5 light floor lamp a couple of years ago from a couple that was moving. When it was my time to move, I gave it to my sister, who had been admiring it. When I arrived at my new place, I missed it so much I purchased this one. When the package arrived, I was so glad to see an old friend again. We mostly use two lights, which is enough for reading. If we want more light, we switch to three. We rarely use all five, but it is nice to have for those times when much light is required. The look is modern and you can move the arms around in interesting directions.The purchase was seamless. Package arrived as promised and on a timely manner. I needed a lamp that was adjustable and that put out a lot of light. I am using this in my workshop where I need to highlight the wood material for detail work. A lot of the lamps that I was looking into were much more expensive, or used very expensive bulbs. I got this one because it takes stardard 13w CFL light bulbs, where as many similar models take the Candelabra light bulbs, which seem to be much more expensive. This lamp does exactly what I expected it to do. You have some minor assembly work, as far as screwing together the lamp post and bulb bases in, but it only takes a few minutes. Sturdy, with a nice polished nickel finish.

This lamp is great for my needs. There was a delay in shipping, which was not communicated very timely, but it was all resolved. I would purchase this item again.

Pretty nice, bright for the money. Has a cheap Target feel sometimes.
