Great product at a tenth of the price of some ...
Works as described. Though batteries are shown in picture, they are not included due to airline security. No problem as this inexpensive unit is well worth six batteries. I used it to extend my warranty on Schluter Ditra Heat from 10 to 15 years. It also test up to 750V AC using the two center plugs. The outside plugs are for insulation tests. There is a YouTube video showing correct operation and also one showing incorrect operation. Though the instructions are a little hard for some, you can figure it out. Great product at a tenth of the price of some meters. Also arrived on time with Amazon Prime. Thanks.

Excellent Megger!
I wanted a megger, without spending a zillion dollars on one to do basic troubleshooting of broken insulation on wires. It does indeed work and is well within specification for basic use. Glad I got it to add to my arsenal of testers. I also like the fact you can use a 12v wall socket to operate it too (not included!).

Read this to figure out how to use it
This is a great bargain if you've got something that seems to have a short and you need to diagnose it. In my case I have a solar panel array and some of the panels are failing. I'm going to use this to find the bad panels. You need this over a regular voltmeter because this generates the 250-1000 volts necessary to reveal the failure instead of the 9V of a regular meter. Some faults will only show with that high of a voltage. You can even see sparks as you connect the meter. The manual is terrible. I did find a good Youtube video on it, but here's the short version. To test for insulation failure, connect the probes to the outer two connectors - L & E. Select the voltage 250,500,1000. Press the button to test. You can twist to lock it on, but you risk being zapped. Some faults will only show when the device is exposed to water, as is the case with my solar panels. You should connect one lead to either the positive or negative. The other lead should go to the case or ground of the item being tested. The fault may be on either positive or negative so test both. Interesting note for solar panels - you must short the positive & negative leads because a solar panel acts like a battery. The meter works by applying a voltage and checking for current flow so the presence of voltage and current will interfere. With the leads shorted together (you must connect them with a sacrificial switch to avoid damaging connectors) you can then test both leads together against the panel case. The inner two leads will test AC voltage but only if you press the 750VAC button next to the DC test voltage buttons. I did test the voltages with another meter and they are pretty accurate.

Affordable
Does what the expensive insulation testers do. Easy to operate, usually no instructions needed if you know what you are doing. Would be great if it came with carry case or if one was called out that fits it. Its size does not make it easy to find one that fits reasonably. Recommend

Saved the day while saving me lots of $$$$
I was going on a quick project start up where they didn't have a Megger at all. I picked this up and after confirming voltages with a DMM, yes, they are a little off, and calibration check with some resistors. It caught a wiring problem that would have otherwise caused harm and cost fuses. Well worth the little bit of money it costs. Not for laboratory spec use, but for quick go/no go testing, perfect!

Very pleasantly suprised!
So far I've only tested the lowest resistance range and the A/C voltage function on this meter. From 0.1M ohm to 10M ohm the meter is spot on with various resistors. The A/C voltage readings match those of a high end Fluke TruRMS DVM. I didn't catch the fact (at first) that these do NOT ship with batteries due to airline restrictions, but a few batteries are no big deal. I do agree there should be some type of case or spot to hold the test leads when not in use. But for the price I can look past most of that considering that Supco sells what looks to be the very same meter (M100D) with their name on it for FOUR TIMES the price of this one!!! Even the Supco 500 is twice the price and only has a goofy led light "display" and wimpy little wires for test leads. No thanks. If this tool holds up over time I will be a VERY happy camper.

Seems like a good megohmmeter... but the English documentation sucks.
It feels like a well made product, and if you know how one of these things works you will probably be happy with it. For me, once I got past "Press the button of power", the badly photocopied, poorly translated owners manual stopped me in my tracks. (FWIW, there is a very nice looking Chinese language booklet included) Fortunately, my 21 year old helper was able to intuit his way to doing the tests we needed.

Buen aparato a buen precio
Hace su función y a groso modo el resultado es parecido al de un megger. Si lo quieres para 2 chapuzas y poco más está bien. Va a pilas y al menos mi aparato las pule en nada
