Mosquito Netting

I ordered these nets for my windows and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they arrived, much faster than expected! Right out of the pack, setup was incredibly simple. The kit came with three large net materials, which was more than enough for my needs. Honestly, all I used were scissors, no fancy tools or complicated instructions needed. The Velcro strips included had adhesive backs, so all I had to do was stick them around the window frame where I wanted. Then it was just a matter of pressing the netting onto the Velcro, and it held firmly in place. That’s it! I didn’t bother cutting the netting to fit exactly—I kept the extra material because I just couldn’t be bothered, and it still worked perfectly. But if you’re someone who wants that perfect look, cutting it would be super easy. Overall, this was a great purchase. It does exactly what it says, and setup was a breeze. Highly recommend if you want a simple and effective window covering solution!

We've just returned from a holiday in the south west of France and these nets were a God send. We bought them on a whim a couple of days before travelling as we didn't think our rental property had mosquito nets based on the photos online. It didn't! We arrived in a heatwave and were advised by the owners to keep the windows open at night and in the early hours to cool down the property. We immediately put the nets up to stop ourselves being bitten. They were done in a hurry and so didn't look particularly pretty, but kept out all the insects - the holes in the mesh were small enough to stop everything. We had enough to do 4 smaller windows with some net and tape left over. The sticky hook tape stuck well to the window frame despite high temperatures and even though we had to take the net off the tape several times a day to close and lock the shutters, it was easily reattached to the tape and robust enough to withstand that treatment if done with care. We had the net on the outside of the window frame as the window opened inwards, and inside a wooden shutter as seen on the picture. We therefore needed to open the window, take the net off the tape from the inside and then either open or shut and lock the shutters, before sticking the net back to the tape as the shutters let light and bugs in. If you find yourselves in the same position, then I would suggest leaving a little slack on the net to make it easier to stick back down to the tape from the inside. If it's very tight then it's difficult to stick it back down. We saw similar products to these being sold in the French hypermarkets for a similar price. I'm really glad we bought these before going away and wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Buy these pretty much every year to seal up the windows of the house to ensure no flies come in and they work fantastically! Nothing worse than having a bluebottle whizzing around your house all day, or worse, six of them! They are very good quality for what they are, good size and fit perfectly. Very easy to put up and install and they do not look that bad either!

Keeps insects out well, especially flying ants. Easy to cut to size. However, the stickiness of the strips aren't the best and may need additional help to stay stuck to certain surfaces. Additionally, the netting isn't the best at sticking to the velcro strips and takes a lot of fiddling around to keep them stuck. Not awful if you want a temporary fixture on a couple windows during the summer when there's lots of insects about, but expect to become frustrated with it quickly.

Fits the window frame perfectly when cut to size. It was easy to install.

So I tested a bunch of products and have come back to this one as the winner. It's not as easy to cut and make tidy/clean as the other bug nets but for the value you get, it stays up, doesn't fall down constantly like various magnetic ones I've tried, has no side gaps for things to get through and when you can't cut the edges cleanly, you can press them back over the velcro bits and they stick again so it looks tidier/cleaner that way. The only thing I would like to see is a white velcro strip with he black net as this would then work much better for white windows. You don't see the net a whole lot and they are better in black but the strips stick out awfully on white windows.

Bought the black mesh as white is much more noticable. Did a very quick solo installation and sos far so good, next time though, I'll measure and cut on the floor. I'd advise to add at least an extra 4cm width and length and trim the excess once on the window.
