Sunlite Wire Lift-Off Front Basket

This bicycle basket is sturdy with very heavy-duty plastic coated wire. I use it on my walker around the house. I bend the hanging hooks into a shape that will allow the basket to hang off the front of my walker. This is not an easy process. The wire is very thick and hard to bend. Also, if bent too many times back and forth, the hanging hooks can break off where they connect to back wire despite the thickness of the wire. These problems are worth it to me because I can not carry anything, unless it's in a bag, while using the walker. Other walker baskets I've seen are deep and thin...not good for carrying a plate of food or a box or much at all. I line the basket with a large grocery paper bag. It fits perfectly into the bottom of the basket and you can make it as tall as you want. The basket has a nice handle that does not easily come off so you don't need to worry about it coming apart. Using the handle, I just lift the basket off the walker when going out and set it back on when I get home. It measures 14" wide x 9" deep x 71/2" tall. If you can get the hanging hooks adjusted, this basket is perfect for the front of your walker.

At $7.70 plus $7.45 shipping purchased from the Niagera Cycle Shop, this basket is an exceptional value as a temporary basket that I use mostly when I bike to the grocery store to pick up a few odds and ends for my wife. the basket drops easily over the handle bars and stays in place through its own weight. If necessary, I can attach some bungee cords to hold it in place but so far the ride has been smooth enough the bouncing it off has not been a problem. I have a lot of stuff on my handlebars (light, computer, GPS, horn, etc.) but the handlebar loops on the basket drop nicely between all that stuff to fit and ride easily. When I reach the store, I pop up the fold-down handle to take it into the store and use if for shopping. It's large enough to handle a goodly supply of groceries. This basket is a solid value that should accommodate the needs of anyone who requires a temporary basket for transporting goods.

I had been searching and researching wire bike baskets for a month. I wanted a basket that would stay on my seven gear beach cruiser and not bounce around but be big enough to carry a gallon of water and a couple of other items, if need be. At the same time, I didn't want a gigantic basket either, that would overtake my entire bike. The basket fits perfectly. It stays in place without bouncing at all. I did not have to use zip ties or extra ties to keep it in place. It's covered in a type of rubber, so it will not harm the paint.

I was a bit disappointed the hooks won't fit my handle bars, but for what I paid, I'm fine with this basket. I just hook it over the brake lines and don't put heavy stuff in- I don't want to destroy my brakes! I was pleasantly surprised by the carrying handle, I don't remember that from the description, and think that it's really going to be useful for small shopping trips this summer. My son pointed out that I should keep it in my apartment when not using it, since it would probably tempt someone to take off with it. I would recommend it for anyone, even if you don't have a bike, but I have a good imagination for using things in unlikely ways.

Beautiful, clean white color. Easy to put on and take off. Very convenient handle; you can load your beach towels, bags, lunch, etc. and carry this to shore if you're beach cruising and need a break. What I love most about this product is the price: FAR more reasonable than anything you'll find at a bike shop or sports store. *My beach cruiser is a 7 speed, and the wires hang in front of the handlebars; the basket lays snugly over these wires, no issue with that.

Perfect basket easy install, I installed this basket with two zip ties and that’s it. It's durable but some items can slip out between the bars. I switched it out for a different basket last year. There's nothing wrong with it other than I need to hold smaller things without them falling out. It still looks like new after having it for five years and it's the perfect size for my bike.

It would be the perfect basket if only I could fit it on my bike. Doesnt work with lower handlebar. Ill have to figure out a way to install it anyways as I cannot return this item without fees.

Basket was okay had to do some modifications to fit on my wife's bike wanted to return but to return item became complicated had too many stipulations and costs ended up not being Worth to return
