Best Fabric Protector
I love this product. I have used on my new boots and purchased more for our new dining chairs. It sprays evenly. I recommend spraying in a garage or outside. It can smell upon first spraying. Not bad, but best for some airflow. Dries quick. I usually spray a few coats.

This cleans up nicely. It beads up liquids and I just blot with a paper towel.
I could not find in store. I bought these for my umbrellas. I also did my floors in my car.

Got a little overzealous and used two full cans on a single pair of pants!!
So I am writing this for the comedic value, the pants are still drying so I have no idea the result. The break of dawn was the only time I had to spray my new White Tommy Hilfiger pants and I was outside working in very low light. As a result I could not see how much product was being applied. I sprayed a whole can and for some ridiculous reason I figured a second can was needed. Do I emptied the whole second can into those Tommy's as well. I let them sit outside for about 6 hours to dry.. When I went outside to bring them in, the cold had been absorbed by all the Scotchguard and then I realized my mistake, because they were soaking wet. I brought them inside and they immediately stunk up the whole house, so they went back outside. I hung them up near a porch light and even the bugs wont come near the light. So here I am 24 hours later and they are no longer soaking wet, but they stink god awful. Surprisingly the texture and feel of the fabric has not changed. They are still obviously not completely dry based on the smell, could take another 24-48 hours to fully cure. My Tommy Hilfiger pants are now going to sink slower than the Titanic! I could be outside in a category 5 hurricane and my nuts will still be bone dry! There could be a tidal wave and an epic flood, everyone around me will be drowning, but I am going to just float by like a leaf on top of the water while looking like a Boss is my spotless white Tommy Hilfiger's... There is so much Scotchguard in my Tommy's, that after humanity is extinct and the world is covered in ice, Aliens are going to dig them up and study them as the last surviving remnant of human engineering. Then the intergalactic federation of planets are all going to be wearing reverse engineered Scotchguarded Tommy Hilfiger knockoffs for space uniforms... That is how much Scotchguard is now in my Tommy's! Word of advice, definitely do it outside and plan to let them sit outside for at least 24 hours, the fumes are strong. Also, I think the advertisement is a bit misleading, one 10oz can is about enough to do a full jacket OR a pair of pants. One can will do both a pair of shorts and T-shirt together. To get full protection I think this is the minimum, however don't do what I did, it is way overkill, unless you are planning on spraying it on your space suit to explore the Methane atmosphere of Venus on foot.

Great product BUT NOT WHAT I ORDERED
I ordered this from my past orders because I needed more of the STAIN PROTECTOR not this water repellent. I didn’t know about 3M no longer manufacturing stain protector (I knew I should have bought that gallon jug I saw on eBay for $45!!!) until Zon sent me this. I didn’t even notice when I got it. I unpacked it and put it in my cupboard. Then when I used the last of my OG Stain Protector, I reached for my new can and noticed the color banding was different; then I actually read what was on the can: Water Shield. Yup, just water. When each and everyone of us leaves our home for the day, we are essentially going to battle with our attire and accessories as our armour. Everyday we go to battle with dirt, grime, germs, water, pop, Little Caesars, Del Taco, Target, Alpha Beta, and so much more. And everyday while in those battles, our armours get dented and bruised and used. I don’t know about y’all but I like to look nice and I pay GOOD MONEY for my stuff. I don’t have a lot but what I do have is quality. I’d rather pay $50 for one Patagonia t-shirt than $20 for 5 Fruit of the Loom. Most importantly, shopping this way is better for the environment in so many levels. As an added bonus, one can feel the difference in fit, weight, dye techniques etc, thereby giving it more fashionable characteristics. My armour I pay good money—I barely have—for, needs all the help it can get Baby! I don’t need some Dr. Pepper fibble on my white Patagonia shirt! And yes I use Oxiclean too. Better example: I don’t need grimy curb water on my Nike Mars Yard 2.0 sneakers!! I need a force field from babies on the BART with chocolate covered hands & faces who are suddenly taken by my brightly coloured Chrome Industries bag, further feeling compelled to reach out and grab at it!! I need STAIN PROTECTION!!! So yah, this product is great at keeping something already rather clean and innocuous away from your items… oh well, I guess that would mean it’s good at keeping your stuff DRY. ok well that sounds a bit better now doesn’t it. Yes it can keep your stuff dry but alas my Stain Protector. I must find another.

Worked great
Worked great. However, it is very messy and the smell is intense so you need to do it on a day. You can leave all your windows and doors open and make sure you thoroughly clean the floors afterwards or protect them with plastic covers prior to using.
