Really excellent babka for a fraction of the price of the brands sold through Goldbelly. If you're a babka fan, this is the ticket

I have ordered this before and loved it. The last one was dry and brittle. Seemed old. You should seem me a replacement!

While site states “baked daily,” this babka is very dry, not fresh. I warm it in the microwave oven which refreshes a bit.

This bread is amazing especially heated up in a fry pan not toaster because it will break up its delicious with butter on it

This is a mass produced item with no taste or flavor. If you are from the east coast, you know what a chocolate babka should taste like. If you are from the east coast, you MUST have seen the Seinfeld Episode, The Dinner Party, where the 4 friends are off to a dinner party, but Elaine insists they stop at a bakery and bring something. She wants to bring a chocolate babka, but the last one is sold to the lady standing in front of her in the line. The person behind the counter offers her a cinnamon babka instead, but Elaine laments, "I can't bring cinnamon babka, it's lesser babka!" And it is true. And this is not a freshly made east coast babka. It will not do in a pinch or a hurry, so just plan ahead so you can get a real chocolate babka from the east coast.

It's not bad. I suppose I was hoping to be really impressed as it came from a bakery named Stern's. They do an admiral job securing and wrapping it in an effort to ensure freshness. If it wowed me, I would definitely order again. Alas... it's just okay.

Fresh and absolutely delicious the more you get to the middle. You are already craving another piece.definitely worth the money and the wait.

Very dry. If you microwave for 30 sec. with butter it is edible.
