Great for travel.

My gastroenterologist recommended Miralax to me because a medication that I take causes me to have severe constipation. She felt this would be the best laxative for me because it works naturally with one’s body and typically doesn’t have any bad side effects. My primary doctor agreed that this laxative would be best for me. When I discovered the Amazon ClearLax brand (which has the same active ingredients), I shifted to it because it’s a much better value. My husband also uses it occasionally. ClearLax has worked just as well for us as the brand name version. Last year when we were travelling abroad to visit my family, for the first time my husband was stopped at the security check (though we have Global Entry) and a long process ensued because they wanted to chemically test the bottle of Clearlax in his hand luggage to ensure it didn’t provide a safety risk. We had to wait while they brought someone from the lab in to do this. Then they also examined everything else in his suitcase. We were delayed for over an hour. In preparing for our travels this year, I discovered that ClearLax comes in travel size, single dose sealed packets. So far, this has solved the problem we faced on our previous trip. These small separate packets have the added advantage of being easy to find room for in our carry-on suitcases.

I admit to enjoying the "benefits" of Miralax. Normally I guy the Amazon version in a big plastic Amazon bottle - and it's great . BUT when I travel it's not convenient to carry the big bottle to breakfast in a hotel restaurant. Why advertise?? So, I buy these individual packets. They can be a little hard to open but they are so much more discreet! A bit more expensive than the bulk too but that's to be expected. I'm going to Europe for a month in a week or so and I will go with "confidence" since I will have the Miralax "stuff" with me in a very convenient way.

Good packaging for travel. Strange way to open it that doesn't work great. You're meant to turn the corner down and then you can rip it on the perforation, but this wasn't obvious and doesn't always work. Sometimes I can't do it and need to use scissors.

Works as intended - helps for daily regularity

I purchased this for a vacation because I had no idea when I would be able to drink my daily dose. And you know how traveling is. Everything binds up which can lead to misery. But I digress. Having the pre measured packets was great. Just kept one in my purse, and during lunch discreetly stirred it into a glass of water. Did this twice on a plane. Just be careful when opening the packet because once on the plane it kind of exploded a bit and I had to scrape it off the airplane tray. But not as embarrassing! It’s not like I pulled a BOTTLE of the stuff out of my purse. And the packets are good to go for TSA! And this brand was just as good as the name brand! Highly recommend!
