Worked right out of the box.
For me, it worked with my 3-phase motor out of the box. I had a small blower I needed to power and this worked for me on the first try. It gets used for a few hours a day with no issue. It only gets a little warm, I can still touch it after several hours. I suspect I am using it and 30 to 40 percent power though.

Pretty nice. I cranked up the volts till it popped.
This is a pretty decent controller just to get the motor to run. it doesn't seem that strong though, but I cranked up the volts up to 80v DC and one of the Mosfet drivers popped. Pretty fun

Bought to do troubleshooting, failed
I had a battery chainsaw stop working and when replacing the power devices on the board didn't help I thought something like this might work to check the motor. No joy. So a bad motor, or maybe a bad repair on a bad board, or maybe just a bad technician (me?) but unable to get it working again. Annoyed. I dinged it a point cuz it didn't do what I hoped it would. Petty? OK

Works great with miniature 3-phase brushless motors for high efficiency in battery operated configurations.

Cannot start a motor under load
Have purchased this controller and also one on Amazon with similar specs that is differentiated by a heatsink on the base of the circuit board. The latter has a much more aggressive acceleration profile which is good. This one, however, starts the motor too slowly and so it stalls when starting under a reasonable load. Would not recommend this over the alternative.

Works exactly as described
Still in the development stages of the project this item's intended use is for so I don't know about longevity, but it bench-tested flawlessly.

Good controller but slow.
It works as advertised. It has stall detection and auto restart as well as a complete fail mode for a stalled motor so it doesn't keep trying to restart. It also has a VERY conservative acceleration profile programmed into it. The only real complaint i have is it's relatively slow. Dont expect to get a ton of rpm out of this controller.
